Spanish Football 2011-2012

That Tello is awesome seen him a few times lately theres another one as well came on for a few minutes last week looks very good.
Certainly not short on midfielders are they.

They churn out good attacking midfielders but clearly not enough defenders, and the traditional striker seems out of fashion for them with the way they play as a unit going forward.

Could have been 4-2 then but he chose to shoot not pass, bad decision.

Well Barca don't like the cold. Poor performance to concede 3 goals and weren't able to adapt their play enough. Good game for the neutral though.

Barca need to spend in the summer i think. Have a fantastic first 11 and some great youngsters but there squad depth compared with Real is incredible.

Barca are starting to feel the strain now with a unfortunate run of injuries and also teams starting to stand up to them. Good for the league of course but bad for the neutral :p

Perhaps Fabregas is a poisoned chalice? Years of failure at Arsenal only to move to Barcelona and lose the league title immediately :o

Joking aside, said the money spent on him would've been better spent in defence and I'm being proved right.

Barca's problem is their defence/defenders, pique is too slow to play that system, exposes them horribly. They also flood the forward area but have stopped their pressing game high up, so now when they lose it they're much more at risk and they can have 8 players out of the game

Messi also looks a bit weird, few times I've seen him this season and doesn't look as interested as he once did and hardly ever does defensive work anymore, even when the ball is a few yards away. I remember a few seasons ago he'd be very active without the ball, now he just stands. Doesn't even make as many attacking runs imo

Great teams come and go, Barca aren't any different.

I'd imagine given most of the team play for Spain (who again, won't be BEST TEAM EVAAAR forever) they won't get much of a summer holiday either, Madrid will again be the fresher team overall when the season starts, and won't be relying on the same 3-4 players to make the team tick. Obviously Ronaldo is a goal machine, but they can and have rotated in other positions frequently and been alright. Barca seem far less intimidating when they haven't got their magic triangle on the pitch.

Hopefully after a few years Fabregas will realise it was the right decision at the time but he's had his stint at his boyhood club and come back, lol.
