Apparently they have an estimated fix date of March 15th :(

And here's what you get once your connection is 'fixed'

Feels like I'm beating my head against a brick wall, how can they say there's nothing wrong? :(

I know this isn't a VM connection, but this is what my ADSL connection looks like:

If my connection is like that on an up to 8Mb connection, Virgin must have loads of problems!

Yay got my BT Infinity installed today. And guess what?!

It's 9:30pm and I'm getting 40Mb down and 10 Mb up. And BF3 Multiplayer works.

SHOCKER

To get out of Virgin? Nothing.

Complained via the Neil berkett Email and went through process. Got out of my contract although they messed up porting my number over to BT so I've had to change my land line.

Now I pay £30/month for BT inc line rental. Will be £35 after 3 months so only £5 more expensive than Virgin. But for something that works, it's worth it

I can cancel when I want after complaining.

What I mean is, what setup fees did you pay? For example, I have no current BT line, so there's be a £120 fee iirc, plus £99 for infinity. That's a lot of money. :(

Virgin promise me it'll be fixed before the upspeed rollout.

isn't virgin better than bt infinity?

Depends on the area. Although Virgin do have their issues, BT Infinity are not without them.

Are you on the Watford UBR too? Mine doesn't seem so bad at the moment, this is my graph from yesterday:

Yes in Watford. Had this back from the complaints guy after I sent in another email last night:

Hi Chris, thanks for your email.
I'm sorry still no update as the UBR isn't failing KPI

Stats For Week Beginning 06/02/2012
Weekly Peak BW 17.83 Mbps
KPI Status Of Port Within Limits
Total Time > 99% 0.10%
Total Time > 90% 0.75%
Total Time > 80% 2.54%

Time over 99% isn't above 10% for it to fail, so although it is still on the list of ports to be done, there is no dates yet sorry, and although there are a few occasional errors these have been fixed on the UBR and no unfixable errors recorded.
Kind Regards

Andy

Don't know if i'm in the right thread or not, did anyone else get an email from VM saying their bill will be increased by £3.50 come April?

I knew an increase was in the works due to the new speeds coming this year.

What's the first part of your hostname? If you go here it'll tell you.

Mine's cpc*-watf10 - I'm guessing you're on a different network segment (the number after watf) to me?

Wow..I thought my VM ping graph was bad. Some of those are truly atrocious :/

It's a joke that they've getting away with such terrible service in so many areas.

I'm going ahead and upgrading from 10Mb to 30Mb via the website. It says that no installation is needed. Will my current old ntl blue modem handle such speeds? And the speeds that will be 60Mb when the upgrade goes ahead?

No, you need a DOCSIS 3 modem to get those speeds - I expect they'll send you a SuperHub to install yourself.

Yep, mine's going up by £3.25. Just one of the many reasons I've just cancelled it and ordered Sky. Totally fed up with their throttling. Won't miss them.
