What film did you watch last night?

Two films today

In Time 7/10 - Loved the concept, the later parts let it down a little, but I was pretty impressed again with JT

Chronicle - 8/10 These guys were living my dream, i'd do anything for the same powers as them. Thought the actors done a great job as well

Dodgeball- really funny I love the steam and walk in from the bad team at the final. 7/10.

Hot fuzz- again funny material and ott action, enjoyable if a bit long. 7.5/10

The revenge of Mr revenge or whatever its called. Well shot, intriguing at points I enjoyed maybe more than I saw the devil. It's a close call. 7.6/10

Really? Christ, I thought he was terrible. Dodgy script didn't help either.

My son came home from a shopping trip with his mates with AC/DC's "Let There Be Rock" on bluray,as a pressie for me.
Of course, being a child of the 70's/early 80's this brought me right back to my glory days..lol...what a treat to watch and listen to(the sound is excellent albeit in stereo).
There were also some interviews with the band members, one part in particular was when the interviewer asked the late Bon Scott if he considered himself to be a rock star,to which he replied"No.....but I often see stars"Kinda sums up the rock'n'roll lifestyle of the time....great stuff!!

Thirst - 8/10

Korean Vampire flick from the director of Oldboy. I am not usually a fan of vampire movies but this one was different as one might expect from Chan-wook Park.

Very stylised with Parks distinctive brand of ultra violence, gore and dark humour. If im honest the plot was a little too ridiculous and hard to follw in parts but it did keep me interested from start to finish. I also thought the performances from the two leads were very solid. They certainly dont make em like this in Hollywood!

8/10

One of the better films I have seen of late.
Its about a man and his family vs some criminals.
Good, edge of your seat, stuff.

We watched Tell No One last night.

I bought the DVD about 5 years ago, read the book last year and really enjoyed it but had never got round to watching it until yesterday.

Enjoyed it, my other half enjoyed it more I think (even though he can't speak a word of French!) because he hasn't read the book, so the twists came as a surprise to him. Was pretty close to the book I think, a couple of differences which were fairly important ones but hey ho.

7.5/10

The film is one of my favourite films :)

J'adore.

Horrible Bosses - thought it was pretty poor actually, was expecting better - 5/10

That's one of my all-time faves.

How can you not laugh at the scene in the bar where Kenny is attempting to sell the 3 main characters, his sexual services and claiming he is not gay?

:D
