Engineering is so full of double-entendres it's unbelievable.

In my day to day work I deal with flanges, nipples, erections, strap ons, studs, penetrations, entries, and orifices. Probably more that I can't think of.

Recently tho, I have been using the word "reprimand" a lot at work. Interestingly, it makes people laugh when I am trying to be serious about idiotic users and their ability to not follow the correct IT process. Either way, lol.

Drilling wells has to be one of the dirtiest businesses to get into if you want double-entendres. When you start talking about boring, reentry, mud weight, over pressure and head you can have some fun. Then obviously there is the danger of sucking too hard...

But then again it is related to a science where you can say "that dykes cleavage is caused by heavy thrusting and orogen, explains the cummingtonite" perfectly innocently.

My friend who does something to do with drilling, had the job title 'Bottom Hole Sampler' at one point in time, much hilarity for the rest of us.
