I have currently got a WD HDD with windows Vista 64bit.

I have just purchased Windows 7 upgrade and an SSD. I am wondering when I receive everything how i go about having Window 7 in SSD and then setting up HDD as a slave drive for media and documents?

Would I have to install Vista onto the SSD then perform the Win 7 upgrade on the SSD?

Then create the WD as slave and remove the vista off it? As I don't want to reformat the WD due to it having a lot of music etc on.

Says I need to perform a Custom Install on website.

Thanks

If you have it plugged into your system go to my computer, right click on the hard drive you want to format and click format - Note, unless you want it to take hours click the check box marked * Quick format :)
Oh and that removes everything by the way !

Unplug old HDD plug SSD in and install win 7 to it, plug old HDD back in and make sure your boot drive doesnt auto change back to hdd in bios after plugging it in, if it does select the SSD option to boot from again. Once loaded delete windows files. A format is the way to ensure everything is gone but that means having the data on the hdd you want alrready backed up so you can re install it.
