I suppose E.Y.E Divine Cybermancy isn't that well known, at least not compared to most games anyway. The guns sound great, lighting hues are the most appealing I've seen in a game world (more of this please) and its surreal design had me intrigued from the word go.
Definatly had more fun with games from the 90s than 2000-2010
Futurecop LAPD - loved that
.Just remebered Jetset willy.
Incredibly hard game and it turns out after spending an age my copy was broken near the end!
Ive remembered another game -hostages on the amiga, great game.
I don't remember finishing many games back then. Don't know if it was because the Games were harder, I was lazy or the disks would break!

oooo Midwinter... Hunter! now that brings back memories, not exactly well known either![]()

Pizza Tycoon. 1995/6 I bought this. I had just bought my first pc after years of using an Amiga. Loved the game, that and Champ Manager 2 (Well known obviously, but I don't think it did too well ) - with the vocal commentary . Free kick to ...................................................................................Spurs![]()
Or maybe that was the first oneX-out was great.
With the 8bit'ers being all over rtype at the time, thats one that sliped under the radar of most.
That effect....
The Rings of Power.... everybody doing zelda on the snes, the megadrive had a classic that few played. Beyond the terrible control/movement, the games a 10/10 rpg. It's got everything, puzzles, trade, exploration, all in a massive go anywhere open world... and it's hard as hell![]()
Dark Messiah - great game powered by the Source engine. Did decent physics and swordplay wayyy before Skyrim.
I loved this game. Hot bird chatting to you in your head and combat that made Oblivion look like a total joke.
MDK - nobody i've ever known has played this game apart from me, and I absolutely loved how eerily creepy/ridiculously hard it was.

K220 or something?

Midtown Madness 1 + 2 (probably not that obscure but im sure it sold poorly but I loved the open world driving and fan made content)

They still need to patch that game as some of the translation is still messed up, it actually annoys me that they still haven't got around to it. I didn't think some of the features were implemented that well either, such as hacking. Each to their own though.
That game was awesome, I used to love playing skirmishes against that flying AI, nobody else seemed to realise what the all fuss was about. Its a shame I didn't have anyone that would play it with me /foreveralone
I think Vagrant Story is the best game i can come up with that was not well known, even though it was developed by squaresoft and rated highly. It was a 3rd person action rpg on the ps1. It had a medieval setting in a fantasy world, lots of armor crafting, magic, stats and enemy types. You could also playthrough with the same upgraded character and unlock different areas in subsequent playthroughs. It had a wierd stat progression system that gave you random stat increases, depending on where you stopped a roulette. I remember struggling quite a bit with some of the earlier bosses, but that was probably because I kept getting magic increases with a melee character.
The only thing it lacked was any kind of interaction with people other than cutscenes, the best you could achieve was positioning yourself in such a way that enemy troops would hit one another instead of you and would switch sides.

MDK - nobody i've ever known has played this game apart from me, and I absolutely loved how eerily creepy/ridiculously hard it was.
I used to play this thing when I was younger, never made it past the first level haha! Also used to love the game in the OP, anyone know a way of playing it now? I'm presuming it would be freeware by now but I wouldn't even mind paying for the nostalgia.
