I got mine yesterday. Works a charm :) I'm not 100% sure I like the game but I got it.

Also with regards to the screen, I have had zero problems so far. No blotching or dead/stuck pixels. I can notice the very slight colour shift if I move the screen dramatically to the side but tbh when am I ever going to be shaking my PSvita from side to side ? The screen is amazing.

Also Half min hero is amazing ! love the game so much :D

How are they comparable ? :s

Vita = Handheld gaming device
iPhone = a Phone

With the vita I can play games for a few hours, with phone games I only play like 5mins and get board.

Next time people will start to compare the iphone to the ps3/ps4 :p

OK so they don't both play similar games, Sony aren't trying to compete with the app store by releasing games like Plants vs Zombies and they don't both focus on social gaming (Near / Game Center).

It doesn't matter that one is primarily a games device and the other a phone - the two product lines are converging, like it or not. People that buy iOS devices do not buy the Vita as the gaming experience offered is adequate. Which is precisely why i've been saying that Sony need to concentrate on big name console games on the Vita rather than gimicky rubbish.

With the vita I can play games for a few hours, with phone games I only play like 5mins and get bored.

GTA , Reckless Racing 2, Dead Space, Minecraft, Fifa 12, Need for Speed, Real Racing 2 - iOS has as many console quality titles as the Vita... Cannot understand why Sony felt the need to launch their most powerful handheld ever with several ports of iOS games...

So you could therefore compare home consoles or PC's to Iphone then? As they have plants v zombies they also have shock horror social gaming.

What a ridiculous comparison really, if you put your Vita up on the MM I will buy it from you, I expect it to be fairly cheap though since the screen has blotching, colour shifting and as you have played every game its been very well used.

Disagree. Why? because part of the psp's so called downfall was because they DIDDNT have gimmic pick up and play DS/iphone type games. they had mostly serious console games and people complained and moaned about it.

So what did Sony do this time round? Offered BOTH gimmicky pick up and play iphone/ds type games as well as offering big hitters such as fifa and uncharted yet people STILL complain? Pathetic really.

Rockstar are reported to be working on multiple Vita games however we have no details yet. If it were to get a GTA I wonder if people would prefer a direct port of GTA5 that the consoles are getting or a unique title. Maybe the GTA5 port might have cross platform saves which could be good.

An Assassins Creed is also in the works, also we have the obvious mavity Rush, MLB 12 should be popular in the US at least and features the cross platform saves too.

There is a Resistance, a Killzone, a Call of Duty, the MGS, ZOE, FFX HD remakes.

There are also the smaller titles like Sound Shapes, Putty Squad, Dragons Crown. It's the GDC in a few days so we might hear more games there.


I would appreciate it if the iOS v Vita conversation were continued in a separate thread, all it's doing here is making it a mess for those that just want information on the Vita. I've no problems adding to the discussion and it's a valid one to have, but I've not done it here precisely because this thread was not created for that purpose.

This isn't a bash at you buddy but I think you have it all mixed up (in my opinion) the iOS is a good system but it is by no means a direct competition with the PSvita. The devices appeal to two very different markets.

I own an iPhone 4 and I love it. But there is no way I would consider it a hand held gaming console. I certainly do not compare it with my Vita because they both offer different things.

As for your statement about "why you can't understand why Sony decided to use ports of iOS games"..... you know what look at the list with my additional comments. I can't understand why the iOS would port games from the PC and gaming consoles........ oh wait I know why its because they are quite successful games so why not port it across to make more money.
 
Stop with the Apple stuff. This is a Vita thread and should only be about the Vita. Start a new thread if you want to compare and talk rubbish. Poeple who want Vita advice and info don't need to ramble through page after page of fanboyism and apple related advertising lol

PS Can anyone recommend a good case that can protect the Vita (ie not cloth cases) and that looks awesome.

Also does anyone know if putting a screen protector on the rear touch panel would effect the touch screen interface on the back? Im a stickler for looking after my tech lol

Theres also the Thrustmaster VIP case which has dropped a bit in price on Amazon. I prefer the SPF case though :D should get it this friday.

And I will deffo be downloading Ys: Seven when I get home I think I need some jrpg fun !!!

I've opted for the Thrustmaster VIP case from Amazon. It won't hold any games or leads but it looks great and is hard. I've bought a little earbug pouch from ebay to put my carts in so that I can put that inside the case.

It's not out until Friday though.

And you can put a protector on the rear just fine. It's slightly smaller than ones for the front so you'll have to cut it down if you are using one of those.

lol at the fact in the description they state:

"Optimized for full compatibility with all PS Vita wireless features: Bluetooth® / Near / Wi-Fi / 3G."

How do they manage that then with a plastic case! :p
