How would carbon dioxide enter the water if it is coated in solid ice?

What you are claiming is only a speculative hypothesis though, there is no evidence yet that life can exist on any planet without a star.

What I find amusing is if there is a god (which cannot be prooved or disprooved) then that god would be responsible for all that science has found. I don't understand why religious folk go against such things as evolution etc for that simple reason.

Most religious people (in Europe at least) are not against evolution, it is only a small set of biblical literalists that are against it. Obviously they are against it because it completely destroys their world view as evolution is incompatible with a literal reading of the Bible.
 
I have a question for OP or anyone who knows about the bible.

In the beginning the bible says god created everyone and they all lived in the garden of eden in harmony.The eating of meat,killing was forbidden until adam sinned and god threw everyone out of the garden.Now apart from the fact that god was a bit of an ass by throwing out some innocent little zebra from a perfectly nice party just because of adam.:p

How does one explain a T-rex? Was the purpose of his huge teeth to grind down on those plants? Or a shark and its smell perception? Or how about the fact that animals like horses have thier eyes on the side and not on the front like meat eaters?If this is the case then god must have created lions with sideways facing eyes and flat teeth to grind plants? Then due to millions of years of killing thier eyes shifted thier teeth shifted etc.Why did some never evolve like this? Some animals still eat plants.



And do animals go to heaven? And why not? Are they expendable things that humans get to eat.some of them are intelligent and have thier own little personalitys.Why are humans so much better? I think the whole thing could only be believed by an idiot.If you read the old testament you would see that the god in the bible was such a messed up tribal,vindictive god that they had to re-write the bible with the new testament to get people to worship haha!! Imagine creating humans and then having one as your favourite(Jews) and then telling them to go and kill all the other human you created (Canaanites) so u can have some nice milk and honey.



If there was a creator then explain cancer or the many messed up things that go on in life without his intervention.If a child is born with something wrong with him/her and dies without ever having commited sin then what is the purpose if he is all powerful? I would like to extend to him a golf clap... but i already know they do not exist.

And unfortunately these are the types of people that the media seem to love to give airtime to, riling up the atheists that little bit extra.

Seriously, I would consider myself an atheist, but I don't care what anyone else believes as long as it doesn't affect anyone else. Although I really hate those Jehova's Witnesses, they always seem to time their visit when there's no one else but me in the house, if you know what I mean.

ok, I'm late to the party, sorry.

However, along with many things funny in your post, this is just bad.

Perception of time is not changing for us => light travels same distance in same time => no magic space creation between particles. Fundamental flaw in your understanding of the expanding universe.


Additionaally, if time was slowing down for us compared to some other observer - ie what you are saying about universe expanding - light takes longer to travel between points, then the other observer would see us in slow-motion, not sped-up - your 'theory' is ass backwards

I dont think I've ever heard of an earth like planet capable of existing and supporting life outside of a stars habitable zone, and you havnt either.

A planets core alone wouldn't generate enough heat for a planet to support life off that heat alone, it is no where near comparable to the vital role a sustainable star plays in allowing organic life to develop.

The burden of proof lies on the possitive assertion of there possibly being a God.

Has anyone disproved the flying spaghetti monster? No? Well does that mean that its real then?
 
Every thread with the mention of God in it gets invaded by those that have no beliefs in anything except what has been proven by science. Now, those are the people i would call Close minded!!

For a christian, it not about proof of any kind!! I dont need to seek any proof at all. Its all about my strong faith, nothing else.

People go on here asking for proof of this and proof of that. Only you would ask that because 'you' are close moded. You can't think outside the box! You cant decide for your own. You cant believe anything unless you have proof. That is very sad indeed.

I am not close minded because nobody can shake me from my faith. Far from it. I love all aspects of science but that doesnt stop me in believing in god.

Some on here like to do nothing better than insult those that stand up for what they believe in and i feel sorry for them.

Why dont the proof people on here stop all the slagging off of what a christian believes in and get on with life?

I dont spout that any non belivers 'should' believe in god. I only express my feelings / beliefs. What you want to believe is up to you as i have said before. Just dont keep slagging off those of us who have a very strong faith in god and dont mind standing up and saying so. Thanks
 
So then koolpc, you accept that the universe may actually have been created by a magical teapot instead of god?

There is no such thing as open mindedness on a belief strongly adhered to through nothing but personal faith alone.

Explain the bottom of the ocean?

The only source of heat is from vents in the earths core, and life is sustained.

No light can penetrate this far down.

The earth is still in a habitable zone. Life at the bottom of the ocean may have developed after millions and millions of years of evolution and development of a self sustainable ecosystem, though the initial organic life forms on earth would have been dependant on the suns energy and / or heat.
