****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

My market never restores apps any more. Although after a fresh install, if I click "my apps", it only lists paid uninstalled ones so I presume those are the ones it's meant to restore?

Some of you should try out HyDrOG3NICS rom. It's based of CM9/AOKP. If you can put up with no video camera..

Custom notification area with weather, can be edited :D Loads of other tweaks too. Battery is good too.

Hmm interesting, do I try this or not!

I assume the camera works fine, just the Camcorder does not?

I would think so. CM9 pretty much works flawlessly, except for video recording and MHL output :)

benjo: I can't really remember, but it is supposed to show your Android data in your Google Dashboard. Mine is empty as it should be.

I bet most of us don't use video recording much but as soon as you put a ROM on that doesn't support it, there will be something you want to record... :p

I was thinking that :p

Does USB drive mode on the PC work on it too btw? I'm backing up CheckROM 6 at the moment.

Hmm so 3 missing features, can I live without those until they're fixed?

Only one way to find out....

Can you test one thing quickly please, see if the dialler T9 search works?

Your hate isn't as high as mine though! Having a 50Mb line and seeing 30KB/sec downloads makes you punch walls!

Then again, it might be ¬_¬

Think its just mtp at the moment, but I can't even check that because my Linux distro I'm using doesn't support it :p

think I'll give it a go.. running CM9 atm, and whilst the lack of USB drive is annoying, the rest of ICS makes up for it :)

Well Google have one upped Samsung's text input fields and text management, the short press and long press on words is brilliant but so far I've not found a way to store multiple clipboard entries, only just one entry. I will miss that from Samsung ROMs I have to say but I do hope Samsung have implemented the new text stuff and kept the clipboard too!

Edit*

The ROM Control integrated app has SO many options, I thought CM's control app had a lot.... This is beyond excellent.

Seen your views over at XDA, backed up CR6 and going to give this a shot as well over the weekend, not tried CM9 since very early alpha so will see how this CM/AOKP works out :D
