Using GPS Test and GPS Status I can see it only finds 2 satellites, this is using the GPS fix zipz from XDA, Faster GPS to use UK sats and also trying both KI4 and KL1 modems!

Just ran those two apps and you're right it only finds 2 satellites. Worked fine for sat-nav weirdly
 
Yeah 1.4 has the same as well. We will need a GPS fix.

Unless a GPS fix from another ICS ROM works on this....anyone know of another ICS ROM that has a GPS fixer flashable zip?
 
Yup, I'll give it a few days.

Also I'm noticing that some flyout dialogues have a slightly longer delay on 1.4 than they used to on 1.3, anyone else noticed this?
 
On 1.3 did anyone else notice that when you're sending long texts sometimes the keyboard will freeze up for a split second? Really isn't a big deal at all but just wondering what causes it... Going to download 1.4 now, do I need to do a full wipe or can I just put it on my internal memory and flash right over?

Wipe is not needed really, I just cleared cache and dalvik.

I think I will restore my CheckROM 6 Nandroid backup for now until the GPS issue is fixed and the delayed screen response from 1.4. Damn shame as there are things in ICS that are pure win.

Woops I meant restore my 1.3 Hydro backup until there is a GPS fix.

Hmm delayed screen response? What exactly do you mean by this? Window transitions?
 
As an example, my go launcher dock has gesture menus (folders) for apps, I used to swipe a dock icon and get the menu almost instantly in 1.3 (and in GB) but on 1.4 there's maybe half second delay before it appears.

1.3 restore complete and someone has posted a gps config fix so I'm about to try that.
 
Well GPS is working for me now but just with 2 satellites although it seems to be perfectly accurate.

I just like ICS keyboard and text input way too much lol. Oh yeah and the browser.
 
Copy and replace using Root Explorer then set the permissions to match the surrounding files.

It goes in the folder /system/etc.

Then reboot.
