Tesco Petrol prices in you area pls help

a lot of liberal haters in here again, this is why our country is so messed up, because you all sit back and just let it happen, Easyrider has a valid point and if it wasn't for people like him then everyone would just get trampled on left right & centre. We aren't all lemmings we have a voice, let it be heard!

What's his valid point? The only thing here is that a shop is setting its prices to maximise its profit. Customers are coming in, and buying the fuel. They can charge whatever they want (most of the time), and they'll do a lot of research into finding out the best price which ensures maximum purchases.

could be construed as fleece the lemmings for everything they can, that's the point.

No it couldn't. If people want to go and get cheaper fuel then they can travel to a different fore court. I go to a Morrison's to get my fuel as it's the cheapest in the area. I however, drive past it quite regularly when going to my girlfriends. If I wasn't, I'd nip to the local BP because it's close by.

They aren't fleecing "the lemmings". They are providing a service for a price which enough people are prepared to pay. If people didn't want to pay for it, then they wouldn't buy from them. Hence why I don't go to the Shell garage because it's the most expensive in my area.

The Store was "sold" to the public on the "benefit" of the Petrol station.

The site would never have gone ahead or been agreed upon unless the petrol

station was included. The plans were put on hold for months and months

because of this.

Now its built there is no benefit to the community.

Its no cheaper than the station up the road.

Erm, what? Are you suggesting that the key point to securing the planning permission was that Tesco would include a PFS so you and other NIMBY's could buy petrol at cheaper prices, no doubt putting the established local garage under significant financial pressure?

Do you know how ridiculous and hypocritical that sounds?

Do you think Tesco is some sort of charity?

Do you feel forced to shop at Tesco?

at what point did I imply that Tesco were a charity and that I was forced to shop there?

You have a voice, it's the choice to go and shop where you find it cheaper.

I most certainly do, obviously you're a lemming and comply, resistance is futile..etc etc etc..lmfao :D

So let me get this right, your more then happy to take their pressure washer and their vouchers after complaining for free but its serious business when the price of fuel is 2-3p more dearer?

The Total Garage up the road was over charging too. Who cares about them? I never used them

Tesco dont seem to mind about the Large Co-op 500 yards away and possibly shutting them down...So why do they care about the Total Garage?

That doesn't make any sense... Can you clarify please.

One of the key "benefits" was enjoy fuel at supermarket prices" I remember reading it.

Ok this is all you've said about these 'planning proposals'.

Enjoy fuel at supermarket prices. Well, you're getting a supermarket price. It's a price from a supermarket.

Ok so you clearly aren't 'enjoying' this price, but unless it stated a promise to be cheaper than surrounding petrol stations then I don't know what you think you can complain about. I'm sure their wording was deliberately and precisely vague...

So you're telling us that before, the only place you could get petrol/diesel locally was the Total garage, which you never used because they're overpriced.

Now, you have the option of going to Total or Tesco, but they're both overpriced.

Sounds a lot to me like nothing has changed and that you should just continue buying diesel wherever you used to. I'm sure with 2000 miles/month whoever you buy from loves you anyway.

133.5p for unleaded in wsm, I dont drive a Diesel so never bothered looking.
