****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

I think i dont like ICS over all.. :-( i miss flash way too much.. the scrolling feels odd.. the whole thing feels "new/lacking" hard to expalin but i prefer GB

Flash is supported in ICS, it's just not supported in Chrome unfortunately. Not sure about the other issues, I haven't come across those.

Quite liking Lite'ning, very fast, smooth with no errors I've come across and decent battery.

I've noticed system apps etc can be disabled from the regular manage applications section as well, not sure if this is in the stock rom or just LIte'ning but think it's a nice touch.

Running Apex at the moment, but how do people get the ICS dialer? I'm running a copycat one at the moment and it'd just be nice to get the 'proper' one :P

Yes got that too but I can only replicate it if I hit the power button like a mad man, None issue for me as far as I'm concerned.

Wouldn't have known about it if you didn't say are you actually looking for any fault you can? :p

Not white lines though here black lines. Just enjoy the phone & stop turning it on & off like a mad man :p

Mine does seem to do it pretty much all the time though, I know I often notice the smaller things but why do the GS2's seem to have so much wrong with them?

Maybe it could be an heat issue?

Can anyone else confirm this?

Doubt it is a heat issue, My phone is cold. Never noticed it on any other builds but then I've never kept pressing the power button.

Did it happen on the ROM your phone first came with?

What Grudas said :p

Yeah I believe it did happen even on the first stock ROM. I just don't want it to be one of the first signs of the display going dodgy or something.

Yeah pretty much everything is skinned just like the GB version.

I'm just doing a Nandroid before flashing.

I figured I might as well and once JayKay releases Deluxe Settings for LPQ I'll install that and will be back to almost CheckROM levels just minus the KitchenPro app of course.

ICS Domination theme and Deluxe Settings really do make a huge difference on a Samsung ROM.

Please go and get your iphone. You're getting a bit tiresome now :p

So is ICS Domination for 4.0 the original holo theme? Or does it have slight differences like the GB version did?

There are minor differences really but nothing major:

I've flashed some things via the OTA before updating the theme with Domination, ICS Gallery, ICS Keyboard (Samsung's ones are rubbish), Android 4.04 apps update zip.

I'm just restoring my apps via Titanium now and have also installed ICS Browser+ as Samsung's implementation of the browser is nicer than GB but I like the stock browser.

I'll also be replacing some other bits in due time but so far so good. Stuff I will replace is the Samsung dialler (was never a fan) with Dialler One or eXDialer.

I uninstalled some things that shipped as stock as per all Samsung ROMs, Yahoo Finance, Software Update, Samsung Account and the various live wallpapers I don't care about.

Just waiting on JayKay now...

Oh yeah, this ROM includes CF-Root so you get SuperSU, CWM App etc. It does not update CWM Recovery to 5.5.x.x though as it retained my 5.0.2.4 which was a bit off but I will update that manually from Chainfire's thread anyway.

My Checkrom 6 installation went completely mad somehow (overheating, random reboots) so I thought I might as well do a full wipe and start from fresh... with the latest CM9 nightly. So far, so good (well, apart from the camera crashing but need to look into that)
I may give that ROM mrk is using a try, it looks good indeed. Too bad the download links don't seem to work: first one you have to sign up, second one is a 404, and no seeders for the Torrent.
