I'm back from my travels!

Whaoo nice one dude looks like you had an awesome time. If you dont mind I would also like your feedback/advice as I wanna go to these places as well! Thread subscribed! :D

Come to Brazil and you'll never regret it, come at "Carnaval" (in Rio) which will be around 3rd week of February and really enjoy it.

no worries. work out what you want to know and ill certainly answer the best i can :) still struggling with jet lag at the moment, sleeping isn't happening much so my heads clueless ahaha

not the same! its much easy meeting people while in somewhere like asia! i know it sounds weird. but everyone here just seems so stressed and hard to get on with! Get them out of the country and chilled out and they are different people
 
I met, English, welsh, Scottish, Irish, French, German, Norwegian, Swedish, American, Australian, Canadian, Thai, Cambodians, Laos people just to name a few
 
I loved my 6 years 'travelling' in south east Asia. Spent most of my time either drunk on the local brews, high or shagging some of Scandinavia's finest female exports. There were several occasions when I achieved all 3 simultaneously.

Never really got the whole 'oh wow what a wonderful life changing experience' mantra that the hippies mechanically trotted out. I just wanted to get laid as much as poss.

No stayed the whole time, I suppose the positives outweigh the negs. I'm surprised they weren't kidnapped by FARC tbh. They hiked some jungle trail in columbia that is advised as a no-go zone by the military, just the 2 of them alone.

I was originally going for 2 months, but extended so i could fit in vietnam and more thailand islands. flights were £350 each way

and spending money i spent roughly £3500! But i didn't leave on a budget like i could have. and the last week we spent 3 days in the Koh Tao Resort Paradise Zone which was out of this world, but fancied some luxuary for the end of my travels. you can easily do it for less!

That is on the list to. Mainly because I met a cracking girl who is now there for a year working :( soppy i know lol
 
Glad you had an awesome mate. I'm recently back from 14 months travelling - and I have still got the downers big time. Really just want to get back on the road.

I spent about 4 months in SEA (Thailand, Laos and Indonesia mainly) - my second time in the area - did Vietnam and Cambodia as part of another trip - thoroughly loved it. Right now, very tempted to go and rent an apartment in Chang Mai for 6 months.

Chang Mai is so chilled and some awesome bars to! spent most of my time in roof top bar :p

How much did you spend in the 14 months? I'm putting together a 6-9 month trip at the mo and it's tough ball parking budgets..

Good lad, there is the danger of not leaving though :D
