I think I'm going to bite the bullet and upgrade to t-mob after sending my GS2 back. I definitely do not want another GS2 but I'm not sure what else I should go for. I'm pretty sick of Android now.

iPhone 4S is to expensive for my liking @ £46 a month.

The HTC Sensation XE looks interesting and I'd assume it's faster than the iPhone 4.

Which one should I go for?

I'm thinking the iPhone 4 but how future proof will it be?

On tmobile though they'll probabaly be launched expensive on pay monthly? I don't want to spend more than £36 a month really. The iPhone 4 is appealing hmm

Cheers

I have a htc sensation. Its around 3 weeks old, has dead pixels and the signal is absolutely awful. According to reviews it suffers death grip and from my experience that seems to be true.

The HTC one looks good, beware if it becomes faulty though, htc's repair centre in my experience are absolutely awful.

You can get the iPhone 4s for £36 a month on 24 month with 600 minutes if you can stomach such a long contract, though 600 minutes is decent so if you wanted to upgrade after a year could sell the iPhone and buy whatever is out sim free and use old contract still.

I'm tempted to do this. Think I'll get rid of my sensation on ebay and get the 4s. I currently am on sim only with o2, they offered me iphone 4s for free on a £36 plan.

Why would you do that? If you want to change it wait until the better, newer phones are out.

Iphone 4s is a great phone, holds its resale value the best too. None of the Android phones coming out currently are any better than it in my opinion. The iphone GPU is still better than anything coming as well isn't it? Only reason I could see for the new androids would be bit more freedom to do stuff 99% of people don't need to do or you want a larger screen, or you hate the apple way of doing things :D

You obviously want the iPhone, so go get one.

Uh wait, what..

You know all of the Android phones coming out do you?

Bear in mind, the Samsung Galaxy S II is still fast and if not faster than the iPhone in most basic phone operations, just check the various Youtube videos and it's 6/7 months older than the iPhone (the O/S is a year older too).

You clearly don't know what you're talking about.

Have a read of anandtechs review the iphone4s is clearly faster than the S2 in some cases more than double the FPS than it.

Also i said I didn't think it was better not that it was faster in benchmarks etc, i still think android has a way to go to equal the experience on IOS or windows phone 7.

There is a large number of already available/soon to be available Android phones that are great alternatives to the iPhone 4S.

  • Galaxy S2
  • Galaxy Nexus
  • Galaxy Note
  • HTC One X
  • HTC One S
  • Sony Xperia S
  • LG Optimus 4X
  • Huawei Ascend D Quad

They are all well designed and powerful and, for some, noticeably better than the iPhone 4S :)

Because Foxy, my sensation has terrible signal. I was just offered the 4s free, 1100 minutes, unlimited texts, 1gb data, unlimited o2 to o2 calls and 50 mms a month for £37.

I didn't think that was a bad deal?

Stop buying phones directly from the networks, it's a waste of money. They are all considerably more expensive.

You want an iPhone - get an iPhone. Shop around and get the best deal.

It's one of the best phones out and will be for a good while yet as you don't want Android again.

T-mob seem to be the only network I can get half decent signal where I live. I would get the iPhone 4 but I'm thinking how it'll compare in a years time. 4S is just to expensive.
