What film did you watch last night?

One flew over the Cuckoo's nest

8/10

A film I'd never seen so I thought it was about time to rectify that, a stella cast with a sad ending really but from start to finish it has you hooked, funny in parts and mental in others (quite literally). Nicholson at his best. Also how weird does DeVito look that young.

The Devil Inside - 4/10, I'm in a kind mood...

Not a fan of the camcorder format, though not as bad as some. Didn't find it scary and found it relied on jumpy loud moments for scares. Was ok, but nothing special.

Resident Evil Apocalypse - 4/10

Having seen this film several times now I can safely say that it has no redeeming features. The storyline felt rushed and seemed to fight against the computer game plot, rather than working with what should have been a strong story (Resident Evil 2). Terrible CGI and sub-par acting are really the final nail in the coffin.

I'm watching Lord of the Flies on BBC2, simmply for nostaglia, read the book in secondary school, a little disappointed with the film, I wasn't expecting much considering its filmed in the 1960s. The book is much much better.

The Sitter, 8/10.

Nothing ground breaking but a fun little movie, I like Jonah Hill so that sold it to me.

Question;

Did you understand the story, as in who's point of view it's from and which story it's telling?

Moon - 8/10

I had been meaning to watch this for ages and finally got round to it. I had no idea what the movie was about and I was pleasantly surprised. It was enjoyable to watch something with a concept I had never seen before.

one of the inmates, the chief? i don't think its central to understanding the theme of the story though.

That's certainly how the book is written.

The film is one of only 3 to win the big 5 oscars, along with The Silence Of The Lambs and some old film from the 30s.

Last night I watched the first half of Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. It was every bit as awful as I was expecting. I'll watch the rest another night.

Nightmare on Elm Street (remake) 3/10

The Task 0/10

The Rite 6/10 (Hopkins saves the film from a sub 5 score)

Fast Five 5/10 OK. When a car jumps and you see it break its back when it lands yet burns off with not a scratch - just stupid.

Drive - 7/10

Didn't think drive was bad, but don't think it deserves all the hype. Very good acting, but felt it was slightly slow.

Super 8 - 6.5/10
Wasn't a bad film really, wasn't fantastic, just a bit normal, nothing outstanding..... Elle Fanning on the other hand was absolutely amazing, better than Dakota in my opinion.

I watched The Devil Inside day before yesterday. 2/10.

It started off okay. It's a "home made camera" type movie, so lots of shaking the camera around.

As soon as we got to the scenes after the daughters mother (who I thought was a brilliant actress) in the mental hospital, it went down hill from there. A lot of things seemed to be predictable.

The ending was ****. It ended with a possessed man driving a car. Subsequently he deliberately drove into an oncomming bus and killed everyone inside the cab. Yeh alright I didn't see that one comming!

Sorry for the crap review. Really not bothered to properly review a crap movie. Do not watch it.

Watched a couple of films today:

1) Contraband - much better than I expected. Well-paced and gripping from start to end. 8/10

2) 21 Jump Street - An okay film, funny at parts but not so many funny scenes. 6/10
