What film did you watch last night?

Based on his normal posts I expected the complete polar opposite in film liking from the majority of sensible people and thats exactly what we got, Gamer 7/10 and mentioning COD, Drive sucks because no one died in the first 5 mins so stopped watching. 100% Jay, 100% wrong, 100% of the time.

Well, if he likes the types of films which require smash/bang/wallop within 5 minutes...then that's what he likes. Different people have different likes and dislikes.

I dislike the Transformers type movies, however, there are heaps of people who do like those movies.

Some people disliked The Last Airbender. I thought that movie was fantastic.

With regards to the first 5-10 minutes of Drive: I actually thought that was the best part of the movie.

This.

It's nothing to do with enjoying certain films or what not, it's because Jay ... I can't finish this sentence. Lets just say he proves me right time and time again with his ludicrous posts.

Oh DM, how right you are. :D

Thanks for the positive feedback lol

Honestly, I only watched Drive because everyone on here said it was good, I personally can't see why, I'm gonna give it another go tonight but skip the first 15 minutes lol.

You can't have a go at me for not liking a film, not everyone likes the same films (transformers did suck though)

If everyone liked the same stuff this forum wouldn't exist lol. That and we'd all probably like The Artist (pointless film!)

Maybe I should have watched Drive with a less Fast & Furious mind though, since the film is about a get away driver I kind of expected to see some action in the first 15 minutes.

Yeah because no one ever makes films with the intention of EVERYONE liking them do they.

You can't say I'm wrong when whether a film is good or not is complete opinion, it just makes you sound like arrogant.

Lets just say he proves me right time and time again with his ludicrous posts.

Whats wrong with being opinionated? Or did you not know this is a forum? 90% of this forum wouldn't exist if we didn't voice our opinion

The Artist is a brilliant film. It correctly won a tonne of awards too :)

Films try and appeal to as big of an audience as they can, look at John Carter as a good example.

I can say you're wrong, like you are the majority of the time.

I didn't understand your last bit 'it just makes you sound like arrogant?'

You continually just post absolute dross though? Time and time again you've been picked up on it, it's lazy posting and you come across as an unintelligent troll.

It won awards? All that means is a bunch of academy people liked it, and yeah so what if it made a profit, it doesn't make it a good film. Transformers was crap and that made a load of money.

I'm off to watch Lock, Stock & Snatch for the fifteth time. 2 great films by a great director, amazing and interesting story lines, with a great cast. You can keep the crappy award winning films like the Artist.

No idea why you bother even responding anymore Tummy, we clash on absolutely everything so why should we bother? Best if we just keep each other on the ignore list

I don't want you on ignore, you're too much fun. Your bottom must be in a constant state of jealous at the amount of poop that comes out of your mouth.

In the majority of threads you post in, someone, not just me, will correct you.

I thought it was pretty poor.

Same, it's not near Lock, Stock and two smoking barrels or Snatch which are brilliant :)

I watched Watchmen for the umpteenth time last night, hopefully manage to see The Hunger Games tonight or tomorrow night :)

I've just finished the books so I'm quite looking forward to seeing what they do with the films.

Makes me want to watch Battle Royale again though :p

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - Swedish version - liked it, some scenes a bit uncomfortable though. What are the other 2 like?

Best film I have seen in a while, I hope the other two movies are just as good. ;)

If you want a good old fashioned scare thats done very well I recommend watching The Collector 8/10

I watched Spaceballs on Blu-ray last night, the first time I've seen it in full for years.
probably a 7 out of 10.
Fun film with a lot of gags both visual, and scripted :)

[edit]
I've recently noticed that my blu-ray collection is building up far more rapidly with "old" (10-30 years) films than new, especially the comedies and sci-fi (Silent Running, Fast times at Ridgemont High, Animal House, Blade Runner, Cleopatra and i'm tempted by the Sound of Music for my mum mainly etc).
