Apple Early Adopters (aka Suckers) stuffed . . . again

I hate them because they are overpriced garbage & other companies are making superior products for cheaper prices (apple just have better advertising).

Also, trying to discuss this with an apply fan-boy is like trying to convert a Christian fundamentalist.

It's like trying to tell an Android fan-girl that you are happy with your iPhone and that it does everything you want. If i get a reply it's usually along the lines of "Haha, Apple fan-boy, this Android phone is Dual Core and can do this and can do that. I payed this amount, you've got an inferior product that cost you a lot more"

In the end who cares, everyone has their own opinions.

My iPhone 4, which is a 3G phone doesn't give me 3G (where I am presently) :( Oh noes. I must sue teh Appel even though its o2's fault that I has no 3G's.

Hardly the same, is it? Your device is capable of receiving 3G in the market that you purchased it in...

Incidentally, I think the iPad stuff is pretty clear now, it wasn't at release.

No - its faster than a lot of broadband connections. People have just decided to focus on the 4G without doing any research.

I understand that but surely if it's not able to use that feature they shouldn't advertise it in that country. Especially if like here it most likely will not ever work on 4G.

Surely if you bought a car with an advertised feature only to find out it would only work in the states you would be a bit miffed?

I mean I can see why people might get upset, look how upset people get with broadband connections when they advertise them as UP TO 8GB for example. People get 2 gb and moan.

Anyway people are getting good speeds on 3G 11mbs what can we expect with 4G. Will it get to a point where we can ditch our homelines those of stuck with 8gig ADSL and use 4G as a point of connection with greater speeds and better latency?

I'm still not getting it...They're moaning because full 4G isn't available in their country...But they brought a 4G capable device and want their money back because this 4G capable device can't run in the non-full-4G capable country......

Ooooooooooookay

depends on how apple advertised in Oz i guess? if they talked up the speeds of 4g then they deserve to get in some ****.

apple arent a good company. they falsely doctored documents in germany to make sansung look worse than they are. IIRC samsung tablets are still banned due to this.

apple also think they can copyright rounded corners!

While they are expensive, they work. I've yet to have issues with my iPhone for instance, yet my Android is slow and clunky.

Yes, a higher priced Android might be quicker, but hey, I don't have the money for that, nor do I wish to take a gamble. And before you ask, the iPhone is provided by work :o

Some people are completely apple etc, but hey, you buy their product, it usually works with no issues. It's fast, quick, looks nice, and is just a pleasure to deal with really.

Funnily enough, I don't actually own an iPad.

i run an IT dept. the iphone 4 is by far the least reliable of any mobile ive seen in around 10 years. we have had a 50% failure rate on them

it does seem that no smartphone is very reliable though as we've been through almost all of them. (bar full blackberry integration due to their software not running on certain servers properly).

apple products are also massively locked down and itunes is one of the worst bits of software ive ever used. it causes so many issues on PCs.

as a techie i dont want to be forced into doing things apple's way. as i can work faster than their core demographic and am much more technically able.

i feel i can say this as ive had an iphone 4 since release but i would never use my own cash on an apple product.

Anyway, more info from the APPLE WEBSITE:

I've highlighted for ease of reading considering people obviously can't read their website when purchasing a product.

Also, note 2 states the following:

Seems clear to me.

Shock horror as public buy a product without reading in to it and moan that 'it doesn't work'...Pathetic really.

it needs to be on the packaging, not a website. they cant have T&Cs on a website that arent available on the package, unless you buy it via an online store. people out high street shopping arent going to go on the internet to look up things.

But I bet it states it somewhere in the manual ;)

Isn't it strange that the OP NEVER get involve in the debate that he started?

/Starts Thread with ZERO input or opinion with stupid thread title
/Watches abuse directed at him
/Starts another thread.

Rinse and repeat.

he is probably some weired person that gets off on being abused, he is probably spanking his monkey silly reading all the abuse!!

Nice.

I also 'run' an IT Dept. Loads of people have iPhones here, ad we have no issues to be honest.

Yes, they are locked down, but thats the beauty of them, that's why they are SO successful! They just WORK, you don't have to buy them then change them to a different ROM because it's better...Don't get me wrong, I HATE the fact you can't just browse the phone in explorer without having to install some stupid separate iPhone browser.

really need to be on the box though. i never read manuals ;) and if its a sealed box you cant really take it back easily

i just think all companies need to be less sneaky. they all tell porkies and seem to get away with it.

has anyone noticed how useless siri now is? its because its been throttled back to being almost useless. yet its the major selling point of the 4s.

you must be lucky. one of the owners is on her 4th phone in a year! the thing is they give you recon units which are often dodgy

I agree chap, 4G is one of it's main selling points, so if it doesn't work in 'the major countrys' it should be more stated.

Well I live in Oz and bought an iPad 3 on release day, now we do have 4g WiMAX but even though I new it was not compatible was I conned for still buying it anyway???

Silly thread.

Oh and when I was in the apple store there was a sign for iPad saying it was not compatible with the 4g available in Perth... Damn these people for misleading me!!
