He is doable on 8man of course just everything needs to go perfect and luck on yourside, when we got him to 4% we missed a pillar drop cos the tank was Mind Trapped! :(

I'm yet to run a 16man, no more raids for me anyway now for 5-6 weeks! :(

Only got 2 ranged classes in our 8man team and SoA is a pain in the ass.

First stage, second stage, yeah but the third level seems sheer luck with bad odds.

We've cleared him several times before but I dunno, we're not getting the burst we need when dropping pylons on him.

The random stuff in SoA really is dire.

how come?taking a break from it??

SOA rng is annoying...the mindtrap, into a lightning into a flying through the air is stupid

on 16man how many lightning globes do you get in phase 2? still only 2 a time or does it up to 4? would seem slightly easier if only 2 at a time but double the number of players.


in PvP news....new personal best for me last night - 437k dmg in a voidstar :D need 20k valor for War Hero, hopefully this week

Not sure on 16man, we have great DPS so can get him down on the 2nd phase quite quick but we often get the double tick bug so the ball does 7-8k then immediatly does the same leaving you on next to no health! :( We can 4/5 times get to the 3rd phase, but then it just goes wrong, sometimes balls are still spawned as we progress down the platforms. Tank loses agro on SOA when he is positioned at last minute due to something... just a pain :(

Not taking a break through choice, I am driving from NY>San Fran with some friends so over in the USA for 31 days :) Will play once I am back, fly tomorrow morning.
 
Dont let the balls tick on you run through them, have someone on coms watch whos balls are coming and shout the names so they can get the balls away from everyone else simples :)

Yup we do that - have someone call out, then we run into our balls as the raid is stacked in middle, but it sometimes (once every ten maybe) it hits twice :(

Received my Razer Naga today. Gameplay experience is so much better now. I have all my defensive cooldowns binded from alt+1 to alt+= and then map my side buttons to them.

After finishing all my dailies on my Sith Juggernaut, I've started a Trooper. Just about to hit Level 10 and going Commando so I can range DPS and heal. Going to take this one slowly and enjoy the story. Was going to go Mercenary but couldn't be bothered to go through the same non-Class quests again in the exact same zones. At least Republic side will be a bit different. Made a Mirilian :)

Main is a Sith Warrior so didn't fancy a Jedi Knight. Levelled an Imperial Agent to Level 33 and Jedi Consular to Level 28, so didn't fancy a Sith Inquisitor or Smuggler. So a Bounty Hunter/Trooper was the only choice remaining. Loved the movie Starship Troopers so I guess that decided it for me too.

I still have those binded abilities from ALT+1 to ALT+= on my left bar while I'm still learning, so I have a quick glance when I forget. I have my Saber Throw and taunts on top row of buttons, then next 3 are heals and CC breaker, then next 3 are tanking cooldowns and last 3 are other cooldowns I may not use so often.

Reason I love it is not because with a class that has so many abilities to use (a good and bad thing), pressing some of my keybinds for them is awkward for me. It's more of a personal thing and others may experience differently.

They quietly raised the invite a friend limit from 3 to 25 now so i guess we all have loads of 7 day passes to hand out if anyone wants one.
