What film did you watch last night?

The Three Musketeers (2012) (bd)

Worst film I've seen in a while , felt like it would never end , I missed the ending due to falling asleep, the rolling credits woke me up!

2/10

Was Hugo a case of style over substance?
I've not seen it, but apparently, it was a beautiful looking film with great camera work.

I would'nt say that but I did read somewhere that the film and director seems to go far to deep down a certain path (dont want to ruin it so want explain any further) that makes it a little boring for kids , and after all this is meant to be a kids film.

Still a solid film, just a bit slow going.

The fighter - was ok, christian bale does a good job getting the character spot on as they interview him in the end credits. 6/10

Thor - was enjoyable enough 7/10

Tintin on Blu Ray :D

I'm going to watch it again this afternoon, it's marvellous. Bloody marvellous.
The new film? Yeah, I've got it and I loved it. :D It's reignited my love for Tintin books when I was younger. I'm seriously considering getting them all in hardback.

I love how the characters in the new film look and sound almost exactly as the classic TV series characters did. :)

Cabin in the Woods 1/10. Absolute rubbish. Avoid.

That reminds me.
I saw an advert on the telly for this movie.
They got hold of a random guy who watched the movie.
He stated that this was one of the best movies (or the scariest film he has seen in a long time...I can;t remember which).

I do wonder if these people who they get to say things like that are real or stooges.

I thought early impressions of it were positive:

Its not though is it?

Visually its stunning and the 3D at the cinema was the best I have seen.

But the story was poor...Visuals are not enough to carry a film alone.

It's not just this film though.
I see this with a lot of movies, especially horror films. They usually show infra red images of the audiences all being scared out of their wits in the cinema.

Later, I've watched the film and I'm wondering why those people were so scared.

I thought the same when The Blair Witch Project came out, they used a lot of that sort of 'advertising' and it didn't remotely scare me at all. It was terrible. :p

That was an amazing bit of acting.

The Girl With the Dragon tattoo (the new one) - Very good film. I will check out the original when I have time. 8/10

Make sure you do as Noomi Rapace is Lisbeth Salander ... the end.

Couldn't agree more, as mentioned earlier it brought back soooo many memories :D

Indeed! I really enjoyed it! I thought it was very 'Tintin' if that makes sense, bought back so many memories.

I really thought Jamie Bell nailed the voice too, loved the Thompsons!

It's a good film, with amazing visuals. The story was very 'Tintin' :)

You're quite entitled to your opinion, not matter how wrong it is Easyrider.

Noomi! So much love for her. If you've read the books too, try and pick up the extended Swedish versions! Brilliant. Another shining example of Hollywood remaking a film that didn't need to be remade.

I have no problem with remakes, but only remakes that ~improve upon the original, and the vast majority don't do this. People need to accept subtitled films and not be such troglodytes when it comes to watching 'foreign films' :)

Re; Tintin it did indeed :D Really enjoyed it.
