Don't think I've even had a relationship last longer than 3 months in the past 2-3 years
I was posted near where she lived...I proposed when I did because I was being deployed and you never know what might happen.
Best decision I ever made.

proposed 2 days after meeting her (and she accepted), moved in on the 3rd day, married 6 months later, first child 18 months after meeting.
3 kids now, 11, 8, 5 years, and been together 13 years
i was 31 when we met, and she was 28, we had both toured, theatre and Rock'n'Roll shows for years,
life is too short to hang around

She was a little surprised I asked so soon, but not as much as I was when she said yes.....
IIRC his wife is Catholic, so probably not that surprised.

Started dating when I was 17, proposed about 3 months later when I was 18 and got married a week later. Now been married over 10 years and have 3 kids.

Probably would have been earlier, but she'd just turned 19 and I was about a month away from turning 19... Any earlier might have been a bit soon, in the parents eyes. In fact I'm still not sure my parents take it too seriously.... Mind you I started thinking about it after a year.... When you know...

Lol. I would have asked on our second date.....but I ain't that brave. Asking her was the scariest thing I have ever done.....
Been together 5 years now and still not proposed, maybe in the next couple of years.
