Very impressed with this kit

It's a little cold today so ambient temperatures are probably lower than usual, but I'm still impressed. This is at stock as I've not got round to overclocking with my motherboard. This is the temperature after 2 hours on Prime [still running and not changed!] with my new fan controller on minimum

I know CPU-Z used to read the voltage wrong for i5s, is this still the case? Is Core Temp reading it correctly?

impressive. Is that with stock nf 12/nf14 fans or upgraded fans pwm?

Just running Prime now, will let it run for 20mins or so to settle the temps down.

At 4.5Ghz, Prime for nearly an hour:

Bare in mind no GPU in at the moment so that's probably helping a bit.

Temps look about right. My 2600k floats around the 68 degrees area with the Noctua, allthough not surprising due to hyperthreading.

That is looking beej. Thanks for sharing. I wish my k2500i with d 14 will perform equally or even better. Did you use stock thermal that come with d 14?

Idle temps don't really mean much. Best thing would be to run Prime or LinX like the OP has to better judge of how well the cooler is performing.

No problem, no this is Artic MX-4 [only because it was to hand when I refitted it]

Very nice indeed. It's been a good while since I stress tested mine with Prime. I'll double check it. It may have been IBT that I used when I last stress tested it.

Stayed at these tests when i ran intel burn test,more than happy with it,moved to X79 now

The stock thermal for the D14 is actually very good, probably no difference with MX-4.
I also have a D14 and its still one of the best. will last for years yet

I think i read on a thread a while ago that if you get the new 2011 only D14 you can request the 1155 mounting brackets from noctua them selves. Do any of you guys know if this is true?

Whether they'd give you 1155 brackets for a 2011 cooler I don't know, but it seems they'd give you a 2011 bracket for a 1155 cooler.

Ah thanks beejjacobs, guess looking on their website would have made sense but turned out you found it quicker than i would have. Yeah PWM fans would be nice but the 1155 version do have speed reducers so noise shouldnt be an issue.

This recent 10% off has got me shopping!
