Finishing normal at level 30 doesn't sound right considering many hit 13 by the time they finished the beta.

You really have to grind the beta to hit 13 don't you though? I think most people that finish one run of the beta are around 9-10. It'll slow up, and we don't know if the numbers were fudged for the beta to show of more skills.

I noticed that as well.

The beta made me decide to buy the game now. I'll probably get it directly from Blizz as I've never gotten a pre-order on time from rain forest of others where I live.
Seen as we never got to powerlift together, I'm sure we could get in some Diablo3 together!

I'm going to pre-order my copy from Tesco.

For me it was a no-brainer to go with the wizard but after levelling up some rare items with both the monk and demon hunter. I'm torn!

I can imagine the monk being epic for farming but the brute force of wizards with some top runes looks tasty. That said, the secondary skilled arrows from DH just looked epic.

Okay, I'm a little excited :o :D

Nope, inferno is all about loot grind.

And probably survival going by the sounds of it. It should be pretty challenging in theory.

All 3 chars I finished the beta on reached level 10. 2 of them while in the Cathedral just before and 1 of them after defeating the King. It took my Wizard halfway through a second run to reach level 11.

That never happened in D2, Baal runs got you level after level no matter where you was at. could easily get to lv99 in a day

Er.. what? I don't remember what my highest level char was but it was around 85-90 on my Skeleton Necro and Baal runs were nowhere near as productive for exp as you seem to be saying.

I think people are forgetting how Diablo 2 scaled anyway. You'd finish act I at around level 15. Act II by around level 22 and Act III you'd be lucky to reach level 25. Act IV you'd gain a few levels, then you'd hit Act V and the experience gain shot right up for a while. Finishing Normal on D3 at level 30 doesn't seem out of the ordinary...

beta is over ;(

what happens to the loot i amassed over the beta weekend? All gone or will it be in the stash just waiting for the 15th?

Deleted.

Blizzard said that the beta connects to completely different servers. Shame as some of the beta achievements imo should be feats of strength.

I'm glad it's resetting, I'd be disappointed if the people that were completely randomly selected to have closed access and had the time to get everything were able to get something more (even if it were just a banner emblem from the beta) over the people that only only had access at the weekend.

It would be particularly annoying if my mate got something from all the effort I put in on his beta account. :p

Haven't seen you around in ages mate!

I was the same, played wizard and was decided on it, until I tried the other classes.

Now it's between Monk and Wizard, although I prefer Monk.

So if you like you can be the Wizzy and I'll be the bearded awesome machine. :D
