i couldnt even do a clean lap of motegi in the radical lol, was using my oulton set...

borrish glad your racing the radical this season, i think its gunna be awesome.

josh the last corner at the glen is much more manageable now can get the power on thought there better now...
 
Hey Johny what wheel are you running? I could be wrong but by the sounds of it you haven't got the Force feedback setup right. I had problems with the 'feel' of the sim ages ago but messed around with the dampner effect got it back to my liking

G25 wheel and clubsport pedals.

I have FF turned off i dont like it plus im built like arnie and when i tried it turned up i could smell smoke so turned it back off again.

I can run with most of the fast guys in other cars its just the radical i suk in lol but i have only ever done like 50 laps in it.
 
if you could smell smoke it sounds like the wheel is cactus which would mean the the precision wouldn't be right
 
Drove GPL for 7 years with non FF BRD wheel which i went to from a momo red that had FF and i was instantly faster with the BRD kit.

Still own the BRD kit my bro uses it got the full race frame wheel and speed7 pedals great kit but very expensive.
 
Caddy broke my wheel... well, it broke when I was driving it because the FFB is a lot stronger.

Horrible crack and now it turns like a ratchet. ****.
 
i joined a practice session at montegi in the hpd and i was 2 seconds off the top time so it looks like i suk there no matter the car lol.

My FF is set to number 1

Tried the Caddy very briefly around Oulton, felt ok but not great, think it needs lots of setup work tbh.

I just tried the Caddy which was....interesting. The car seems like it'll be fun to drive once you get a set-up that's not trying to throw you backwards into a wall when you touch the brakes.

It handles really weird. Sometimes it seems to suddenly pick up tons of front end grip from no-where?
 
Yeah the caddys back end is too loose for me even with a better set it just let's go randomly for me, the biggest thing that I don't like about it is the way it brakes feels like it just dosent want to stop...

John do you know the racing line properly at motegi? I think your putting your self down for no reason mate...
 
I've tried FFB off before and it's just wrong, can't drive like that at all :p

Did some watkins in the radical last night, it is nicer, looking forward to the next season even more now :)

The Caddy I don't really find too bad under braking, but you've got to brake way earlier than you expect, but I do find some odd increase/decrease in grip mid corner that's just crazy. The Oversteer is also a little bit mental, at Oulton over the bumps it was just silly, around Watkins it was much more drivable, and actually really quite fun...

Motegi is an odd one, lots of corners seem to suck me into braking too late, others I brake too much/early... I also think there's a huge amount of time to be gained through T1 if I could just figure out how the line around there, or more to the point how to get the car to stick to what I think should be the line around there :p

I'm glad i'm not going crazy. Sometimes it seems to grip like it's an F1 car at times when you wouldn't expect it to and then it'll go back to being a heavy GT car. I'm sure the behavior under braking is just the brake bias.

Yeah I put the brake bias up to 65 on the caddy and it stoped me loosing it under braking.

I liked motegi in the radical, as you say need to find a good line around a few corners, t2 I really struggled with, I never did 1 clean lap tho...
