Im getting it mostly for the art book, I'm a sucker for those. Some other cool bits in there though.
Getting it for Artbook + Skull/Soulstone USB thing (looks awesome!) + the awesome packaging (Big sucker for awesome packaging, spend way too much on Steelbook versions of blu-rays purely because they look better on the shelf).

And I can't complain about another version of d2+LOD, household is definitely 1 set of keys down

I didn't miss the point, but i just don't see them giving us extra space just like that either.

as long as i don't have to mess around juggling gear i want to keep for alts, and the likes i don't really mind.

Then you have missed the point ><

Blizzard have clearly learnt a lot from Diablo 2. They fully understood that the Horadric Cube original function was next to useless 99.9% of the time and was carried by players for extra storage space in there inventory (and used by mules for extra storage space). Thats why there is now a considerably larger inventory and much more storage space available, as well as the storage being shared so you don't have to screw around trying to trade them between characters. They are not going to introduce an item with such a function again because of the awkwardness of its use.

If in the future, a large number of people are complaining about lack of space, they would just add it in properly.

I don't like that you are only given a tiny amount of stash to start with and will have to unlock the extra space, I think they should at least give you 1 full 'tab' to start with then you just have to buy more 'tabs' or at least make them cheaper to buy, I have a feeling that gold will be more useful/harder to get in D3 than it was on D2, you won't be able to sell magic items for 30k :)

I noticed that money/stash was shared between all the characters on beta will this be in the full version or was it just them making it easier for beta players to test all the classes?

It doesn't take long to make enough gold to upgrade the stash anyway. Just be thankful it's not like D1 where we had to leave piles of gold everywhere to make room for gear :p

I think that in-game gold will end up really cheap or worthless because of d2jsp. At the beginning it will be expensive, but slowly become worth nothing. I don't think this is a bad thing though, rare items will become currency, like runes are in D2. Upgrading the stash will be seen as cheap soon, just not at the beginning.

If you compare the relative size of items the stash is probably only slightly smaller than the FULL diablo 2 stash.

And besides, do you really plan on using it much early on?

Total stash size is 210 spaces and costs 410k gold to unlock. 14 x 5 (one default unlocked row, 4 purchasable) x 3 (three storage tabs)

Each character also has 60 inv spaces and you can have 10 characters max.

Edit - even if you make one of each character you can make a mule for each individual one as well.

that's:

52 4 space items.

105 2 space items.

and of course 210 1 space items.

or a combination of the three, Not to bad. plus whatever you carry with you (are there charms in d3?) think that's enough for now :D

I didnt think you could get 4 space items in Diablo 3? I remember reading that items would only take one or two slots

People still buy stuff from Game? :D

Yeah I still get stuff from there time to time. Even though the general PC gaming community has a hatred against them I don't have a problem and still enjoy the occasional offer from them. It's too bad GameStop UK is out of stock as they were £15 cheaper than both GAME and Shopto.
