I expect a price drop from AMD if these specs are correct. The 7950 might be coming as far down as £50-80 I would imagine. Can't wait to get my hands on a new card next week :p

so that's about 250 quid, seems too cheap to me and if so i'm still not interested, i prefer the 7970 lightning any day.

latest price is 290 quid

same here, i cant wait till thursday and if i sell any art i'll get a 60'' Sharp tv too

the 670 might be as powerful as a 7970 as well, if so that might drop in price as well, but i dont think next week, unless the 670 comes out next week that is

I would expect this to be brought out to target the 7950 in much the same way the GTX680 targeted the 7970: virtually the same performance, same price, cooler and less power hungry.

However, the 7950 doesn't overclock to as high a % as the 7970 did, meaning that the 670 may pip it to the post when both are overclocked

Mal lives in a happy place. As much a fanboy of NVIDIA I am, no way will it be as fast as a 7970 :D

good now shut up please :D:D;)

joking aside, be very careful the 670 is half way between the two cards, now this is close, so close you wont notice.

as for the 660, that's a waste of time, i cant see many heavyweight OCers buying that can you, it's just not powerful enough... but might be ok if you're on a budget

Errr yes we will notice.

Ask the many many 7850 owners if they think the card they bought is a waste of time. The 660 will be of the same genre.

No the 670 is 7/8 the 680, it's the 660 that is 3/4. Not that I think a 670 will be as fast as a 7970

we'll have to wait and see on that one, last I heard the 660 was a GK106, not a cut down GK104 - that was going to be 670 and 670ti, so I was assuming the non-ti was going to be the 3/4 card and the ti the 7/8 card

Mal was also talking about a 250 quid card which would also tie in to that, as clearly the 7/8's of 680 card isn't going to be 250 quid

yea we dont know do we, whatever the case this 670 would have to be something pretty special to change my mind now... and from the photos it aint, it looks plain and boring, but it would be if i was considering a 7950 instead.... for sure

finally, it deffo wont be 250 quid, no way, it'll be about 340 quid

340...uh cheapest 7970 is 379...kinda close i'd be surprised if it's priced that much, although if the performance is near dead on to that 7970 would be understandable.

ORB has just released the final specifications of both GeForce GTX 660 Ti and GTX 670 graphics card. Previous rumors were true, according this this data GTX 660 Ti will feature 6 SMX clusters, while GTX 670 will have 7 SMXs.

GeForce GTX 660 Ti is a mid-range graphics card featuring 6 SMX clusters with 1152 CUDA cores, 96 texture and 24 raster operating units. Card will be clocked at the same speed as GTX 680 — 1006 MHz. Also the memory will be clocked at 1502 MHz (6.0 GHz effective). The only difference is memory size and it’s interface. GTX 660 Ti has ‘only’ 192-bit bus width and 1536 MBs of memory buffer. Card will have a bandwidth of 144 GB/s and it’s overall single precision computing performance should be expected at 2.35 TFLOPS. This mid-range GPU will consume 150 Watts from power supply and $249 from your wallet.

Moving forward to the most anticipated GeForce GTX 670, which lacks ‘Ti’ signature. It was also based on GK104 GPU, but it has only one SMX cluster disabled. This gives 1344 CUDA cores in total, 112 texture and 32 raster operating units. Card has slightly slower clocks than GTX 680, with a reference speed of 950 MHz. Memory is the same and is clocked at 1502 MHz, with 2048 MB of memory size. Card has 256-bit wide memory bus. GTX 670 will have computing performance around 2.7 TFLOPS. Maximum power draw should not exceed 180 Watts. Launch price was set to $399.

Both cards will likely be released simultaneously on May 10th. Today we shall expect official announcement of GeForce GTX 690, a first dual-gpu card from GeForce 600 Series.
