Possible details of the GTX670 and GTX660

no Gibbo has quoted a price above.... above 300 quid

No gibbo said the 670 will be above 300 quid. He didn't mention the 670ti, or if there even such a card on the horizon.

Hi there

I've had access to roadmaps for sometime and have access to the latest.

GTX 680 was intended for March/April, it is now here. Fact is NVIDIA were always intending to release GTX 680 class card now, yes the spec may have changed but this has always being scheduled launch for their top-end GTX 680 product.

Cards that will come next shall be 670Ti and 670, expect them around May time, maybe end of April, these shall both be slower than GTX 680 obviously.

GTX 680 2GB, aimed at 7970.
GTX 670ti replaces GTX 580 and shall also be 2GB at £320ish range, it will take on 7950 3GB.
GTX 670 replaces GTX 570 and no doubt 2GB also, expect £239.99 and well slightly faster than GTX 570.

GTX 560Ti and 560 are not due to be replaced until much later in the year.

All low-end, 520/550 etc. shall be re-branded into 6xx series, same cards just re-boxed as 6 series with slightly bumped clock speeds.

A dual GPU based card could and can be released when NVIDIA desire to do so, most likely called GTX 690.

Again GTX 680 is flagged on the roadmap as fastest single GPU card, will a faster single GPU card come this year. Well I guess that depends if NVIDIA feel they need one and if they do I suspect October-December timeframe.

What we can expect in April/May is AIB's making much faster and higher TDP varients of GTX 680.

Don't be surprised to see cards like EVGA GTX 680 Superclocked 4096MB soon with twice memory and higher clock speeds for £500-£600 region. ;)

7 SMX card with 256 bit memory controller = GTX670TI
6 SMX card with 192 bit memory controller = GTX670

He said £240 not £230 for the GTX670 it seems, which seems very close to the cheapest HD7870 cards.

I stand corrected, cheers for the info :-)
Nvidia need some competition for the 7850 IMO, the 660 would sell like hot cakes now and I can't see a reason why they wouldn't release it apart from just trying to get the most money for limited number of chips?

I see the HD7870 and GTX670 trading blows TBH,due to the fact that the HD7870 is relatively close to an HD7950 AFAIK. The HD7850 seems to overclock very well too. Both cards are now starting to drop to more decent prices making their value for money somewhat better than before. However, unlike the GTX680 and HD7970 battle,AMD has a much smaller GPU in Pitcairn when compared to the GK104,so they might be able to be more flexible on pricing. It will be interesting to see how the GK106 does pan out though.

I suspect once the GTX670 and GTX670TI cards come out,the higher end GTX500 series cards will drop more in price.

I wonder if there will be £200 GTX580 cards??

well thats an hour of my life that i will never get back. :o

It's just 670 now and over £300
660 will be approx 6 months.

The NV lineup shall be as follows:-

GTX 690 - £800+
GTX 680 4GB - £500+
GTX 680 - £400+
GTX 670 - £300+
GTX 580 - £300 and is now EOL with very little stock left so no further price drops
GTX 570 - £200
GTX 560Ti 448 - £180
GTX 560Ti - £160
GTX 560 - £140
GTX 550Ti - £100

That's the stack for the next few months :)
