New Samsung S23A700D 120Hz

Great screen for the price, but when you have used 24" 1920x1200 and going to 23" 1920x1080 the screen just seems too small for me, it's a shame really but DSR for me. :(

If I need to purchase a new screen it will have to be 27", will stick with what I have for now.

Snap!! mine just arrived too :D

mine arrived 9:15 this morning :)

i only tested it for 5 minutes then put it back in its box (perfect by the way),i bought it as a back up monitor,i would have been crazy not to at £155. ;)

watch out peeps for a very rare & brand new S23A700D in the members market in a years time. :D

nah kidding :p i will keep it for my future PS4 ;)

thanks ocuk for another decent service.

My one arrived today, and so far, I'm not impressed at all. The whole 3D TriDef software seems very clumsy and messy, and so far I've only had 5 games detected and the 3D effects I've managed to get have been totally underwhelming. I kept launching L4D2 and getting my screen halved and two copies of the current image displayed in eachhalf of my screen.

I've been through the 3D menu and can't get Frame Sequential to work, which is apparently the best. And don't get me started on getting Nvidia 3D vision to work, installed so many drivers and other 'hacks' and 'fixes' I'd be surprised if my PC doesn't blow up soon!

Sorry about the rant, I think I just had really high hopes for this monitor and didn't expect to spend ages trying to get it to work, if anybody could help that would be appreciated :)

you should know that nvidia has removed the "generic lcd" support from its drivers so unofficially supported monitors like this samsung are a no go unless you use older driver (none for kepler).

anyway try this: open tridef control panel click on tools, display settings, manufacturer:standard display types, model: Line Interlaced.

Thanks, I changed that setting and I'm not getting the two screens anymore, but now I get the two images that are slightly out of phase but with the glasses on they don't become one image. Trying this on MW3 right now :(

Thing is I've tried the Frame Sequential mode with L4D2, MW3 and Crysis 2 and they all don't work. I tried the side by side mode and it appears to work, but why am I having problems with one and not the other?

Tried the NVIDIA solution but that didn't work at all, I found that guide a bit confusing :s

Mine arrived today

Unfortunately It has one dead pixel :(

I doubt ill bother DSRing it TBH....

Its strange sometimes it looks pink, sometimes black, sometimes red, depends what colour the surrounding ones are.

edit - Ive changed my mind, I think it stays pink.

I'm not sure but I think these monitors will only work at SBS with Nvidia cards?
I'm probably wrong though.
Check out the Tridef forums or go back to page 8-10 of this thread I'm sure someone posted a guide for Nvidia cards.

When I'm playing BF3 and such in stereoscopic and I try to access the 3d menu I'm not able so I thought that was the Tri-Def software. If you are able to use the menu I think that's for the on-board conversion and the effects from that are not as good. Maybe Tri-Def software not kicking in because it's nVidia?

I got three of these - picked up today. No dead or stuck pixels as of yet. Monitors are lovely :)

And then.....

First time setting up eyefinity + using startech adapters + crossfire 7950's + crappy AMD drivers + stodgy tridef software* = one stressfull day!!

I have had monitors going out of focus, turning off, dropping to 60hz, swapping around. It's been a long day!

I think I now have it sorted and to be fair it's impressive. Really happy with it. Makes me wish I had bought 7970's instead though. :p

* I am sure if I spend some more time with it / read the instruction if there are any it will become more user friendly.

I think I'm having the same problems.

The DVI (far right for me) connected monitor keep going out of focus in game. And basically losses connection to the glasses?

Also are you getting the Display Port Error messages?

Are you connected to both cards?

My dvi is middle screen. I have mini dp adapters on the other two. I do keep getting the mini dp errors. All are plugged into the top 7950 in my set up. Its a nightmare to get running right this. I'm just glad I enjoy tinkering :p
