He used the Europa League to blood his youngsters earlier in the season, plays Walker and Bale week in week out and regularly uses Livermore and Sandro.
Roy left Fulham with one of the oldest squads in the league, is gradually increasing the average age of the West Brom squad and completely disregarded Liverpool's youth for 'experience' as Moses said.
Not only are you wrong to say Redknapp isn't interested in youth you're wrong to say Hodgson will ever give youth a chance. He simply doesn't stay in any job long enough to care.
Completely rubbish, all of it. Redknapp in no way "blooded" the youngsters in Europe, he disregarded the cup completely and didn't want to waste his players in it. So at best the youngsters played and knew the manager would prefer a loss and for the fixtures to be off the list..... yup, that is how you grow players.
Bale was not bought by or because of Redknapp, and is clearly first team material, Walker is mostly being played because Redknapp stopped playing Corluka, possibly the slowest defender in the entire league and while not half bad, not good enough.
A manager who plays youth is someone who in a easier game might drop Ade and play a youngster and give him a shot, a manager who has injuries, or no one else and is FORCED to choose youth, is not someone looking at youth developement.
Likewise Liverpools fans entire basis for suggesting Hodgson doesn't work on youth, is the fact he didn't use many youth players for Liverpool while he was there. THe fact that people outside the club can see how completely inept Shelvey, Spearing and co are, and the fact that he didn't play them simply because they weren't good enough seems lost on you guys.
Really the only younger player any non Liverpool fans would say has looked remotely good, Kelly, got loads of appearances under Roy and hasn't had any more games this year than last year. Roy gave him games in Europe and his league debut, multiple games but Dalglish is all about youth because he's played Shelvey and Spearing more.... despite the fact neither would have played much if at all if Lucas wasn't injured.
LIkewise it never seems to occur to Liverpool fans that he played "hard to beat" football with Liverpool because that is all the squad was capable of. He played attacking football with Fulham, he plays semi attacking football with West Brom but they are a weaker team with less good players.
YOu also seem to suggest that if your defence is good you can't attack at all, odd liverpool have scored 2 goals more than West brom this season and you lot haven't banged on about anything except your defence.... so Liverpool are hard to beat now and that's a great thing, but any team Roy manages that is hard to beat is a terrible thing.... okay.
Lastly, having a go at Roy because he "left" your squad so old, despite having incredibly little time and money to change the squad, what super old players did he buy exactly? Has Dalglish gotten rid of these older players yet, Caragher, Kuyt, Gerrard, etc? The squad was relatively unchanged from before he got it, to after he left it.
