Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [28th April - 2nd May 2012]

Newcastle to lose to Chelsea and then be tired and disappointed by the time they play City and get beat 3-0 or 3-1. I really hope I'm wrong but I think it's too much to ask for them to get results against two such massive teams in really good form.

edit: also, thoughts on this BBC article?

I really hope Moyes doesn't take over once Fergie goes, he's not the right man for the job.

Aye, Newcastle will lose narrowly tonight (2-1) and then get tanked by City at the weekend (0-3). No doubt about it.

I cant see past Mourinho as Fergie's replacement tbh, never have either.

Fully fit squad tonight apart from Sammy, Taylor and Sinpson who is 50/50 to recover from a knock.

You can bash Cabaye all you like (like he bashes others :D) but he would walk into your team, although possibly not because KK only likes average Englishmen :p

I'd hope that Mourinho will take over. He was one of the few rival managers that Fergie always maintained a good relationship with, and Mourinho always speaks very highly of him and of United. Plus he always seems to get the best out of teams and individual players. However, as Moses said, he'd probably want the Glazers to provide assurances that he has money available to buy players.

If Mourinho did become our next manager it might mean he brings the odd player with him from RM, he's got a bit of a history of doing that with his previous clubs.

He's perfect, he's **** with large sums of money as well. :D

I think it's inevitable that Moyes has the job. He's got far more out of the younger players than Fergie has managed since the batch he lucked into as well :p

Full strength? Seeing no Lampard, Drogba, Mata, Cole, Cahill(I'm assuming they'll drop Bosingwa for the final and put Ivanovic at RB).

Not a bad side and Torres may have found some form, though QPR away are laughably poor this season, I wouldn't read any more into Torres's hattrick than Suarez's.

Hoping for a good game though.

Fair point. I just saw loads of good players and forgot that not everyone has a **** squad like us :p
