Could you imagine the battery life with the 2100mah battery from this phone? It would last a month between charges.

Just noticed on 3's site that the Galaxy S3 is up for pre-order, £34 per month on the One Plan, not sure about other tarriffs or price of the phone without contract as no other details put up yet as far as I can see.

My contract with 02 is up on the 10th of this month, had enough of 02's non existent 3g coverage in my area so will be leaving them, already got a pac code, pretty much decided to go for an Android handset from iphone. One X, S3 & Galaxy note are the shortlist, just waiting to see how pricing pans out over the next week or so.

I am most certainly in love with my S! :D :p :o

Not telling anyone to get a S over the GS 3 or X etc. just it seems that people aren't very familiar with the HTC one mobiles at all when it comes to features and actual hardware. So trying to make them aware that there is more than just 2 options to choose from ;)

Plenty of people are writing the S off in this thread when it really shouldn't be just because it has been classed as "middle range" on sites when it quite obviously isn't middle range when you read the reviews fully and look at benchmarks to see the performance of it :p The only areas where the X beats the S is storage, NFC and screen, granted the screen is a big factor.

They all have their strengths and weaknesses and IMO the only real con of the S is the resolution of the screen. Not that the screen isn't great as it is, but it would have been nice if it had been 720P as well :)

I still have that phone somewhere and I couldn't agree any more! :D :p

- sense is far better than touchwiz (touchwiz has got some neat tricks under the bonnet though but the UI is god awful IMO)

Both are carp really - I like the TW better though due to brightness is the status bar, black menus and excellent task manager that show cpu and ram usage.

I stress that both launchers are carp.

brushed blue.. looks odd when the light hits it.. i hope there will be another version later on like we had the white?!

Is the front blue as well or is it black i cant tell?

Brightness in the status bar? You mean the toggle for brightness, wifi etc. in the notification area?

I really hate that about sense, biggest gripe, too much white used! :p

Quick system info is all you need for that info. :p

Sense launcher isn't that bad if you aren't fussed about customization etc. it has great widgets and looks pretty, which is what the majority of average joes want, where as touchwiz is just too iphone (but worst looking IMO) and looks like it has been designed by some kids regarding the colour scheme throughout the system :p (more so the version on the GS 2 than the GS 3) IMO.

nah - hold down the stayus bar and drag your finger along to adjust brightness from 0-100%. Handy feature.

Quick system info is not as polished - has ads too :p

For your average folk though, I think they'd prefer the look and feel of Sense.

I was actually hoping Samsung would overhaul the TouchWiz design and it's a bit of a mixed bag really, some improvements but it still looks dodgy! :p

Ah, that is a pretty neat/handy feature!

True, I don't use it any more personally, good for getting info etc. but don't use it enough at all, only look at once every month or so probably, so pointless having it installed :p. Happy enough with the sense one to kill tasks when needed, plain and simple :) but it has a white background  :p

Unfortunately ads ruin nearly every app :( Think I may root my S at some point and get adblock on as the ads really ruins the apps etc. for me, especially angry birds.

The shoot mode feature etc can be pinned to the left array of soft buttons as you can mix and match what's on there so it's not 2-3 menus away from selecting the shoot mode. This has always been the case with all Galaxy phones :p

Just long press a pinned action and drag and drop another one of choice, simples!

Obviously you can't pin all the actions as there are simply way too many to cycle through but the important ones can be pinned no problem.

Ah right, that is pretty good then :)

Still prefer the UI of sense for the camera though, it looks cleaner and more minimal IMO.

You also have the flash on/off/auto on the top right side, just don't see it as the buttons are transparent and the lens is against the work surface :p
