Which out of the two is the better SSD?

Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB

or the

Corsair Force Series 3 120GB

I assume the crucial is more reliable? and the Corsair has much faster read speeds.

I would go with the Crucial personally as I have heard great things about them in terms of them being reliable and what not. Somebody else can probably give you more information about the one from Corsair.

Stoner81.

corsair force GT(red ssd) is the one to go for if you want corsair, the m4 is fine, both of those use better synchronous nand memory

the ordinary force (non gt) uses cheaper asynchronous nand,as drive fills up performance degrades

M4.

Both have the same read speeds, and it's true the M4 has lower write speeds, but you hardly write on them anyway as it can severly lower the lifespan. Plus due to it's solid nature, they have very low access time since they don't need to spin up/down a disk. This is what makes an SSD feel really snappy.

Personally I find the M4 a lot more reliable than the Corsair, and Crucial is very fast on the firmwire updates when needed. And the Windows updater is very, very easy to use.

i have both and can say the performance difference between the two even when full isnt noticable at all but then both are soon to be old technology so there is cracking deals for both going on. personally id go with the m4 just because of the extra space you get no other reason.

M4. Otherwise the corsair of choice is the performance pro, the force gt uses the sand force controller and is slow with incompressible data.

I can only tell you that the m4 is the best upgrade I have ever had. It was easy to setup and update. Windows loads so fast I hardly see the loading screen :)

I'd sooner have a performance pro over the 830 (what i bought too), much quicker driver in the real world and consistently quick with all data types across all que depths.

Have crucial an M5 in the pipeline ready for launch, with all this price cutting to the m4?

There's always new tech on the horizon and i agree the drops may well be to clear stock of the m4.

Even if they are, the M4 is a cracking piece of kit. Best upgrade you can give your pc if you're not using SSD
