aye get yourself a DFGT, there cheap enough now and a great wheel..

had a awesome race at the 2.30am, started pole got away nice with david unger right on my gear box, stayed in front for about 10 laps then started to make stupid little mistakes as i was tired, so i messed up the last 2 corner and he got the run on me down into t1.

when he got past the race was pure wheel to wheel fun but then we went side by side into the 2nd to last turn i was on the out side and there just wasnt enough room to get by so i had a slight off but saved it some how, then the gap just stayed at 3.5 secs for the rest of the race as our lap times were more or less the same...

kept messing up t1 aswell..

great race tho...

just bought a DFGT and im going to sign up under the buy 1 get 2 months free offer.

i dont know if anyone would actually get anything out of refering me but the first person to trust me gets it

Thrustmaster F430 can be had for £70 delivered and it's brilliant, treat yourself.

Don't get a DFGT, the pedals ruin the experience and the wheel is too light lacking feel. You don't need 900' of rotation, this isn't drifting.

I've owned the DFGT, G25, Thrustmaster F430, G27 and Fanatec GT3.

The DFGT is at the bottom of the list for me, I believe that if you had the chance to test teh DFGT next to the F430 like I did you'd take the F430.
 
maybe but i couldnt be bothered to wait and the only wheel anywhere near me was the dfgt at argos for 90 but £10 gift card for spending over 75.
so not to bad although u can get the dfgt/430 for 70 delivered if you dont mind waiting.

i found confirmation of people getting the DFGT working under windows 8 aswell , i couldnt find any posts at all about the 430 and windows 8 so didnt want to take the risk.
ill probbaly grba a g27 or something in 6-12 months anyway if i really get into iracing

btw whoever reffered me let me know if you anything... on my account the offer shows as a proper 3 month subscription but with a discount applied at checkout so hopefully you get some credit ingame

Fair enough. :)

Personally if you have the money in the future get yourself the Fanatec GT3 wheel and Clubsport pedals, they really are a cut above the Logitech G25 and G27, in fact they make the G25/27 feel 'overrated'.

Although in fairness they do cost 50% more so they should be that much better!

dfgt is a great wheel, the pedals aint the best but there more than usable.

so many peeps use the dfgt, even hugo luis and hutto used them before now at dwc level...

NP thought someone might aswell refer me and seeing as ths topis is active i figured i wouldnt have to wait long :)

just gomne through all the noobie pages and configured my wheel+pedals :)

now waiting for my dinner before i go and crash crash crash :D

i dont drive in real life and ive never used a wheel and pedals in the last 7 years so this will be fun...

im patient though and figure it will probably take me a good few days of solid play before i can drive decent enough for my first race
 
arrrgh not good, was leading the 2.30 radical race, david behind me again, i messed up the last corner so he was right on my gearbox, then i under braked at t1 and try to over correct and started to spin and david was too close to miss me so boom both into the wall...bummer...
 
that was better took 2nd in the 4.30 radical race, tough race bob hope was in there too, me and 3rd were battling like mad up till he messed up the last turn and had a little off then he couldnt catch me...
 
Wow, I just bought the radical and ran about 15 laps at Watkins Glen.(Classic). I see why you guys love it! I am still a bit off pace with a PB of 1:07.4, but just love the feel of the car. It is however so much faster than anything else I have driven in IRacing and can just imagine how nervous I'm going to be when I finally get into a race with this beast:D

I can see where I'm losing time at several corners, but T1 is killing me. I just cannot figure out the breaking point, line or anything about this corner. Does anyone know of a replay to show how this turn should be taken?
 
cool another radical racer...

t1, were the tarmac changes color you want to brake a good cars length before that and be hard on the brakes down to 3rd turn in abit earlier than you think and get your right hand side wheels on the inside apex and just power out...

there should have been a video from the racing school from tuesday night, i dunno what happened to that its normally posted...

serious lads join the radical racing school server on tuedays nights from 6pm, get walk throughs and set ups...

ill need to attend this week aint got a clue how to get round LRP fast...
