iRacing

yeah ive noticed he has been abit of a idiot, his took a few peeps out now...

peeps forget some times that its a 45 min race take it easy for the first few dont do no daft moves and learn what the guy in front of you is doing and what line he takes...

im getting abit fed up on the italian drivers...

hope my csp's dont go like that...

It's probably just a lose wire or something that needs cleaning. I'll have a tinker with them on Tuesday since I'm off work. This is what I get for being cheap and getting them second hand. I knew it was a bad idea :p

I tried not to stereotype them but whenever I see an Italian flag on a car it's always someone who will defend to ridiculous levels 10 mins into a 45 min race. Defending into the carousel? Fine. Defending the inside then moving to the outside and almost forcing me off the road? Not cool.

i googled for you and
had exactly the same problem(still do sometimes) what fanatec told me to do was check the allen key bolts at the base of the pedals where tight( where shaft goes into pedals) has something to do with the magnet. also download the softwhere for your computer then use the telemetry on the pc rather than forza! i think it resets everything or just reprogrames it coz any trouble i have with mine i use this method and she workes like a dream after. you can also change a lot on the wheel through these settings so always worth a look hope this helps in someway
and
I have had similiar problems as of late, I think the issue is a problem with the throttle wire getting kinked when pressed completely down. Try taking the metal plate off where you rest your feet, you will need an allen key. Try adjusting the throttle wire so it doesnt get kinked up. Ive had to use a bread tie and some tape to keep it in place. Also be sure the Pedal connection that goes into the wheel is fully connected at the base of the pedals, noticed it has a loose connection there from the vibration of the brake pedal.

they were replying to someone saying they had a problem like your brake but on the throttle pedal instead

fyi how i grinded SR was to start the race from the pits try to stay away from people, and just go a easy pace i was comfortable with, and just make laps, forget about position.

for oval its somewhat easier but tedious, get a easy setup, stick it in top gear, and drive around not pushing at all in a time trial, listening to music or a pod cast :)

When I heard you complain I was already too far back to have seen anything.

I thought I'd save the replay and have a look afterwards, however after I took myself out (again no other cars involved - just concentration) and even the optional repairs left my car undrivable I hit quit and forgot to save the replay.

I'll have to start doing something about my SR that is now dropping a bit too fast. I was trying out too many cars in week one, I need to settle down now.

anyone any idea why when i usually run 8 laps on LRP timetrial that you would get on average of +4 to +8 yet today i did one and got +48

0 - -:- -.- - -
1 01:02.624 off track
2 01:02.795
3 01:03.265
4 01:02.962
5 01:11.369 off track
6 01:02.990

Are you referring to Safety Rating?

From this post:

- While your Safety Rating is calculated from the average of how many corners you go per incident (Corners per Incident, CPI), it is automatically translated into an easier-to-grasp number that is being displayed to you.

Your CPI is calculated for a limited history of corners. The exact number of corners taken into consideration is not known to me, but the general assumption is that for a Pro license there are 2600 corners taken into consideration. For lower licenses the number is lower. This means that laps in which you had a lot of incidents will sooner or later drop completely out of your CPI calculation.

I suppose that second quote could explain it in some cases, although it is quite a complicated system that iRacing has not published how exatcly it is calculated.

it is my rating as a rookie ( beside my name ) above the TT and irating what ever that rating is

When you go over a whole number you get a bonus to your rating. So if you're at 2.99 and you get +0.01SR for a race you'll actually get about +0.5 and jump to 3.50. The reverse is true as well (you lose the bonus if you drop below 3).

Hmmm just done the 15.00 @ Watkin Glens and at the end of the race my SR hadn't moved at all (In game Matt Clegg). Any ideas?

Other than the lack of SR it was a good race. Spun on the last corner and bumped the rear into the wall but didn't take any damage and then had an unlucky moment as I went past a back marker. He hit the wall to the right and bounced across the track into me and I had to get a tow to the pits. Finished 7th and a few more laps I would have caught P6.

you had 8 incidents, the amount of incident free corners (which your SR is calculated from) was cancelled out by the incidents and thus your SR remained the same. less incidents and it would have gone up, more incidents and it would have gone down.

I find it really tough I can see the SR taking a real hit here for me. You are almost 3 seconds faster than me around there, so it's not the pace that is bothering you?

nah its not the pace that is there i reckon ive got another half a sec when i sort my set out proeprly.

its just the nature of the track, its bumpy, the cars feel unstable, its narrow and theres no were to over take bar t1..receipt for disaster imo, i dont think i could keep it on the track for 30 mins...

just a proper unforgiving tack...

was you just in that server? whats your in game name again???
