That's the day all games get released in the US and as it's a simultaneous worldwide release we get it on the same day. Makes perfect sense.

I decided not to reinstall windows so i just used the second ssd as a second drive and moved my steam install to it and will install d3 on it. The only thing i wouldn't mind buying now is the gigabyte passive 6770. But will see how my 3850 handles it first.
I believe you basically toggle them on/off with an item in your inventory/stash, so they are as permenant as you want them to be. AFAIK
