this really, as someone already stated, amazon don't have to do what other e-tailers have done(deliver early) as long as it arrives on the release date, they have fulfilled their duty.

the bit in bold is key, there is no guarantee of that. which is my main issue. but we/i'll find out for sure tomorrow when they email people...

12.4, but it is only older cards that was having problems i think.

12.4 iirc, but it wasnt applicable to the high end cards.

Pretty sure they issued a hotfix too.

Yes it was. I have the 7950 and had the problem. It was just the 12.4's in general.

We've recently become aware that playing Diablo III with the latest Catalyst 12.4 drivers for ATI cards may cause some visual artifacts for specific hardware configurations. This issue affects users of ATI Radeon HD 2400, 2600, 2900, 3400, 3600 and 4500 graphics cards under Windows Vista and Windows 7. ATI Radeon HD 4600, 4700, 4800, 5000, 6000 and 7000 series products are unaffected, as is Windows XP.

ATI is aware and investigating. Until a solution can be provided we recommend those affected use the Catalyst 12.3 drivers.

Update
This issue has now been resolved in the AMD Catalyst 12.4a hotfix driver. Users of the ATI Radeon HD 2400, 2600, 2900, 3400, 3600 and 4500 graphics cards are the only AMD customers who need to download this hotfix driver.

Maybe it's because I got my order in early?

Anyone manage to find much detail on hardcore? Such as whether we keep the shared stash/artisans/gold if our characters are dead.

I don't think you get any shared stash? Maybe the artisans, but even then I'm not sure.


I think I read that you're friends won't be able to pick your gear up if you die as well, so now you lose all your hard earned loot as well as your character.

Reason I got thinking is because on the profile screenshot it shows hardcore artisans, which may suggest they're shared like with normal.

I was under the impression that HC didn't share stash with normal characters but still share with other HC characters.

Ah that could be right. I know they can't use the RMAH, but can use the gold.
