Why aren't all people who plead not guilty and then found to be guilty by jury not charged with contempt of court as well?

Surely if you plead not guilty, and it turns out you were then you have tried to undermine the legal system by lying.

What the hell has Jeremy Kyle got to do with anything?
 
though I'm tempted to post 'lolstockhausen' as the OP is a bit OTT as per usual I do share his sentiments to some extent.

The ginger witch most likely does deserve to be burned for this, likely her husband too. I wouldn't like to guess what role the others played, I guess we'll have to wait and see, though I do hope the CPS have good grounds for charging all of them and its not some overreaction/vendetta against her or attempt to persuade insiders to co-operate/turn witness against her by charging them too.
 
I don't trust her or the big news corporations either - I feel we should be entitled to trust them.

If she and the cohort are convicted, then hopefully they get the book thrown at them.
 
I don't consider what NoW did was that bad, maybe a bit naughty but they also got some amazing news stories out of it

what's a lot worse is the false pretences we were fed by Blair that led us into an illegal war in Iraq, causing the avaoidable deaths of 100,000+ innocent civillians
is Blair & Co being brought to justice over this?

why doesn't this fella stockhausen campaign for some real causes for a change?
 
Hmmm... the 'Right Honourable' *cough* Lord Archer was sent down for perjury and perverting the course of justice. He was only sentenced for a couple of years for the latter, but it certaily is possible that if such a huge member was jailed then Brooks will be as well.

This, how come when all these things happened labour was in power but did butt all to prevent it? Oh wait, i see, misleading by blair right? :rolleyes:

I agree. Pretty much all of the celeb hacking I couldn't give a toss about, it's pretty silly not to change your pin number anyway let alone if you are in the public eye and an obvious target for the tabloids.

The public didn't really have much sympathy either until the Millie Dowler case cropped up and whilst what they did extremely unethical and immoral, had it led to information that found her (had she just been a missing girl which she was at the time of the hacking) they would be regarded as heroes.

Not justifying the hacking of course, but I do think the public disgust at it is a bit OTT (especially when compared to other events like you mention).

Unsurprisingly, even the Wicked Witch of Wapping doesn't protest her innocence, instead claiming that it is "an expensive sideshow and a waste of public money". Perhaps she knows that the CPS has her bang to rights and that she will look even worse having to backpedal on a denial at some later date.

If she was so worried about the expense and the waste of public money, she could always have left the seven boxes, the laptops and mobiles at the office?

I wonder whether tomorrow's Sun will express News International's outrage at what a disgrace to the honest profession of journalism she is or whether we will have to wait for the Sun on Sunday (aka SOS)?
 
For someone who demands fairness and morals in the trade stockers, you seem to forget that she's innocent until proven guilty. Only someone incredibly biased against all things Murdoch would think otherwise.

Oh wait ......
