Well this looks awesome!.. Asus Eee Transformer Tablet

Mine had randomly rebooted in sleep with only IM+ installed.

I've tried an iPad and whilst the screen is loads better and the device overall less free of lag, I'm too used to the android interface now.
 
On stock .21 but with 17b kernel, previously got a RR at 36 ish hours but I'm up to 95 hours now with 79 of those sleeping.

Odd.

.24 firmware is approved and will be released soon.
 
Hi all,
I'm really interested in getting a transformer, but reading this thread should I be worried about potential problems? is the sleep of death of a known problem? I have an atrix and that also has sleep problems...
saying that, if anyone does want to sell me one, e-mail in trust!
 
OK, found one and impulse bought it. Looking forward to it. Will have a good long read through this thread now - quick question though - is it work putting a custom ROM on? For what reason?
 
I haven't tried a custom ROM but then I've had very few problems with the sleep of death. The last problem I had was on the 2nd and even then I'm 50% whether it was just totally depleted of battery power. Basically one confirmed "sleep of death" and the above incident since the last update.

How is everyone else getting on?

I left mine on untouched for 4 days last week, when I picked it up it had decided to do about 70% of a factory reset on itself - no idea what happened but everything was very fubared. Other than that not had too many reset loops but looking forward to the fixed firmware...

Left mine as it was, with the test kernel and OC'd, and it's been brilliant. Probably the best it's been since I got it. I'm afraid to change it tbh and have just killed the process that offers the OTA updates.

What do you need to do that as I cant install the updates anyway as mine is rooted but it contantly pops up asking me to install it.
 
No exactly I can't install them anyway, not that I would want to. I got fed up of the reminders so killed the process so that it doesn't keep popping up.

I picked up one of these on the weekend after firstly impulse buying a new iPad (yes yes I know) and then coming to my senses and taking it back.

Currently using it for little more than web browsing, emulators with PS3 controller (sooo good) and gaming (ShadowGun THD just looks incredible!)

Looking forward to the new update, I've had a few crashes and sleep I couldnt wake up from without a long-press reboot.

Overall I personally think its an outstanding device.
