Yes I agree gameplay before all.
But I literally played this only for like 2 minutes last night before I went to bed so I couldnt really guage much on the gameplay side of things, but just took a step back and tried to take in the visuals.

Anyway will play some more tonight ;)

That would be because Titan Quest is a Diablo 2 clone.

I think he means more the improved graphics rather than the gameplay.

Titan Quest is a fair bit prettier than D2 was :p

EDIT: Saying that... I'm not so sure he did know!

It's worth it at any level. Each level of the blacksmith is about ~10 levels up in item levels for each piece type. In Diablo you're always looking for items with "perfect" stats for your build, so crafting is a great option as you can make as many as your cash/supplies can make to get the best stats you want, as crafted items generally always have random stats.

It's also currently a waste on normal at least, you can save money trying to find random stats and building over and over by getting a cheaper rare on the AH. But I hope it comes in to play a bit later on (set items, legendary?)

Also is it me, or are rares way too common? As soon as I was at the oasis in act 2 I had 7 drops in one dungeon with my friends, it only had one level as well :X
 
Noob question:

Playing as witch doctor and rolling with the pea shooter thing. I've been picking up swords/cross bows etc and equipping the strongest but my range attack is the pea shooter, so are the weapons actually doing anything?

Do they increase the damage of the pea shooter?

Yes. If you put advanced tooltips on in the gameplay options you can see that nearly all spells are a % of your weapon damage. Thus, the more weapon damage you have = the more your spells hit for.

I would tell you you're an idiot but Infinity Edge has much better graphics than this so I'll give you that one XD

It doesn't have the greatness which is Diablo on it though!
 
Can any of you guys help me with Mumble? I signed up for one of those free 50 slot servers on ukgame. I type in the ip and port but when i press connect it's fails. Never used Mumble before.
 
can u just use weapons instead of pea shooter thing with the witch doctor ? also does anybodys diablo 3 just keep going back on to windows with a problem occured then try to re-open and says blizzard not responding or somthing along those lines

I gave in :( had a little blast this morning before work and it's certainly Diablo! It's been a long, long, looong time since I played 1 & 2, but did they also both start in Tristram?

Will have a quick blast through single player on this Monk and then the online fun shall begin.
 
Diablo 2 had a point during the first act where you ported back to old Tristram shortly after it had been destroyed, so you could save Deckard Cain (he always manages to get himself into scrapes :p)

Can't comment on D1 as I have never had the pleasure of playing it :(
 
This is a bit of a stupid question but characters such as the blacksmith are persistant across all difficulties and characters right? I don't want to invest a load of money into it on normal and find I have to start again on nightmare.

I guess money will be a lot easier to come by at the point but every little helps..

Also, what are the penalties for dieing on this game? I played the beta but I never managed to die in it. Do you lose map progress in the current dungeon/item durability loss etc..?
