Anyone found the bosses don't drop much on nightmare? Done the two act 1 bosses and got just 4 magic items no rares total :/

I believe that's as intened. They don't want people just farming bosses for loot at 60 so the rare mobs that you have to explore to find drop the better loot.

Think you're misunderstanding.

They don't want people doing boss runs because bosses don't drop exceptional loot time after time. That doesn't mean they shouldn't drop good loot the first time you kill them which they should do, so not getting any rares at all is pretty bad drops.

There really isn't any point picking up non-magic items if you think about it. They're worth 2-5 gold and enemies drop far more than that in gold alone, so time wasted selling them (for maybe 50 gold if you're lucky) is time not spent killing mobs.

Out of interest, normal items, what do people do with them? I just tend to teleport back to nearest city and off load them to the merchant for a small amount of coins. But meh, I figure it adds up....

Died once or twice... So far xD

The time spent doing that is time wasted, really. One barrel / log / pile of rocks you hit in a field could drop you 50 gold, which is probably more than you'd get selling a full bag of normal / low quality items.

normal items I salvage at the blacksmith make better items and sell on ah for higher amounts of gold. Seems to be going well for me, I have enough coins from what ive found killing things, and ive died about 5-6 times atm, nighmare is hard :P

how much are you selling blues for?

usually around 5-10k an item, it depends, but i have a really high skill level in blacksmith so i make a lot of yellow items and sell for good prices, i usually just sell at random prices because if i sell for anything over 1.5k its usually a profit.

Do people only pickup magic items and gems, leave the rest?

see im a complete hoarder nut, i gather absolutely every single piece of loot which drops, greys an all.

I then tp back and forth to my home selling off the rubbish and salvaging any blues.

I also make a point of dropping stuff into my stash chest which will be of use to my alts so in that sense im playing diablo as a refuse collector!

Woot!

Er, what sort of level gear are we talking about here?

In Nightmare Act 3 now - all of the bosses in this difficulty have been dropping blue only items.

In Normal I would get 1-2 rares per boss. Was hoping it would give be nice drops the first time I killed them in each difficulty?
