I try and keep a couple of pieces on at all time that have some kind of mf% on them.

Any heads up on when I'll find the jeweller?

I've just killed maghda, and seem to be finding gems, but can't find the jeweller, so yeah, slightly unsure atm...

My latency has remained high but the stuttering has gone for the most part although it's still not perfect.

Wish I knew what was causing it.

Currently level 30 and I think I'm near the end of Act 3.

Been fantastic so far. Loving it.
 
I don't get the auction house, the 'sell value' of the times is a few hundred yet they're selling for thousands, sometimes tens of thousands?

Do we ignore the sell price when we place items for auction?

Tom_D, I'm a lurker most times here but have been reading this thread with interest and keep seeing your woes. Would it be possible for maybe a mate could bring his rig over to your place and try playing? At least if he has had no previous issues and he does now you could at least eliminate your hardware from the equation?

Unfortunately I don't have the game yet so cant test, I'm running an i5(4.7GHz), 8GB RAM and xfire 5850's(12.3).

I'm starting to feel depressed myself seeing your posts of crapdom!!
Do you have anywhere you could take your PC to maybe try on a different internet connection/ISP.

Not much help I know, but good luck anyway!
 
Haven't read all the "tricks" on this thread about helping with the stuttering, I had it back in closed beta but it shortly resolved itself, however a friend and I both got it a little on release but capping the fps to 60 (not vsync) using the ingame one fixed it.

However, the stuttering I had was very far and few between.
 
I've tried every ingame setting and it seems so have loads of other people on the Diablo forums and nothing can resolve it unless you like playing after midnight. :p
 
Long shot but does anyone have a guest pass? After being stung by Star Wars I want to dip me toes first. :)
 
do the weapons and items begin to "look" any better - at th emoment everyhing I pickup and look at in inventories looks "meh" - pathetic looking

not getting the excitement of the items I picked up in Skyrim

nor for that matter am I getting any excitement in combat in Diablo 3 either (yet) - Skyrim felt very satisfying in that respect

hoping it'll get better otherwise 30 quid pretty wasted

the invetory looks are based on class, are they not? i can't remember.

You'll barely be wearing enough to make a difference, and you'll be growing out of gear quickly through normal anyway. You're not going be holding onto anything it helps you find for long.

If you're going to take one of the skills like that on items, I think I'd prefer the experience boosts and a ton of primary stat to beast through normal. Each to their own though.
 
anyone know if there is a setting to show xp as you get it?

been stacking +xp gear and have 105 bonus, no idea how much a kill gets default tho.
