4.5k dps, wow. I have 3k hp and 900 dmg as a Wiz in Nightmare, just started act 2.

May have to try out diamond skin, currently using the familiar and the sword dmg booster for full glass cannon mode.
 
It's amazing until mobs start to teleport, root and freeze while hitting you for 17-22k dmg and have so much hp that you hardly touch 5% of them with full use of 140 arcane power.


I have 35k hp, 4,5k dps and I cant even touch most of champs, the ones that I can I have to kite around for 15min and die 20times before I can kill them.


It's good in group tho, with good tank I can dish out so much damage its hilarious but soloing just sucks. Even with 4 defensive skills and defensive passives I still die so easily ... :/

You know Wizards can solo the whole game without dying right?

Energy Armour + Force Armour + Making your hp as low as possible whilst making your lifesteal / life regen as high as possible = welcome to immortality.

Sounds interesting, too low lvl here to try that. Would work well with galvanizing ward passive as its boosts armour duration by 120 seconds and you gain 310 life per second while the armour is active!

loving it so far, but how the hell do i toggle skill sets????? surely you're not meant to manually change skills from the book every time you make a change?

Is designed that you find a set of skills that work in all circumstances and stick with it. Not switch them out all the time to have skills specific for use against a specific boss/group/enemy type. :)

At max level, you'll be penalised for chopping and changing all the time once the Nephalem Valor buff comes into play.
 
Im only at Act 2 on Nightmare so far. Difficulty still isnt too bad at this point, especially now that im better optimising my gear. Does the difficulty ramp up a lot in Hell and Inferno?
 
after previously less favourable comments for me - I'm beginning to enjoy this game now I'm almost through Act 2.

still think the graphics are a bit poor, and un-sharp, but they have grown on me a bit - especially the vivid colours of some of the Wizards attacks.

prob put in around 10 hrs so far - level 21 Wizard.

anyway to tell what items are before you pick them up ?

just too many even if you stick to blue and above - wish there were less drops really.

Most of my decent weapons/armour etc I've just bought on the auction house with in-game gold - you can choose what you want then

Oh no, I'm foreseeing the return of the Guild Wars 55hp Monk :p

But in all reality, its not gonna happen. 35% is so high it would only take 3 hits to kill you instantly.

That Bashiok has an achievement for killing him for with Rakanishu's Sword.

loads of stuff that is a bit hard for a newbie in this game - I didn't realise my main weapon effected my non-weapon attacks for instance with my Wizard - had no clue - no wonder I was struggling - so after I found that out I increased my DPS from 90 to 200
 
I'm having a bit of trouble on bosses and some trash atm, i have virtually no health because ive been just getting + damage (witch doctor intelligent) items, but apparently i have way too little health and armor, and i get one shot by quite a few things, im lvl 55, how do i know how much intelligence i can drop, im not doing much damage atm anyway, so loosing damage for hp doesn't seem a good thing.
