The thing is Inferno isn't easy, other classes are doing it with gimmicky builds that will be fixed more then likely. Stuff like lowhp insta regen wizards and invulnerable monks.

There are lots of Barbarians that are farming act I inferno though and managing just fine, you just need to be prepared to farm for the gear to get to act II etc.

Ironic that players were moaning about the difficulty and then whine they cant beat something when they hit a roadblock :)

I don't fault them for doing server maintenance. Anyone who has played it today knows the game was totally ****ed. Achievements weren't working for some. Others couldn't even see there characters. And there was a bizarre chat lag that seemed to take 20 seconds to display any message.

What amazes me is that a) it needed doing in the first place. They should have plenty of experience with WoW and what to expect/how to avoid it, and b) That there hasn't been ANY official word on the downtime at all.

Yup, I was on this morning the game kept freezing when I tried to change my sigil on my banner.
Was also very laggy.

It's a shame they can't get this all done right, the experience with WoW should certainly have helped

If this was an MMO launch it would have been an even bigger mess.

If you read the d3 forums or reddit d3 sub reddit there are a lot of people complaining about the game. Not just the server issues. But people moaning about legendary items stats, the story, the difficulty of the game being too easy. I can't believe so much hate.

Well that's reddit for you, people will find fault with anything, judge the game yourself.

For me Iv had more enjoyable hours of play with this game then I have with any game for many years, apart from the server problems they nailed it.

It's part of the game, however a little annoying when that class is more gear dependant than a lot of others.

What were you expecting?

A ranged class like a Demon Hunter, Witch Doctor or Wizard was ALWAYS going to be able to get away with inferior gear in the higher difficulties than a melee class like the Barbarian or Monk.

There's been a few posts now from Blizzard on the downtime.

Where exactly?

I'm looking on the EU forum and the last post by a Blizzard member was 2d 18h ago. I would assume these messages should be where people could find them?

I can believe the hate for the login issues. Really shafting those who buy early. :(
Everything else seems alright though. I thought the whole point in the initial difficulty was that it IS easy, to get you into the swing of things?
From what I've seen so far, the story is alright.

Yeah, kind of what I'm thinking...

Games like this work pretty simply...

Advance, using the gear you pick up, until you can't advance any more with that gear.

Hunt for better gear or hunt for gold and make better gear with your BS... OR hunt for gold and buy better gear off of the AH.

Continue and repeat.

It's good that it's a ***** to complete inferno...

As for all the hate, the only bit I understand is server issues. Blizzard should have it sorted by now, they're a big company who frequently do big launches, they should know what to expect.

The story is actually pretty good in my opinion, and the conversations you can have with some of the npc's bring in nice back stories for them too. I'm willing to bet all the people complaining about the story haven't completed all the conversation achievements...

As for difficulty. Some people seem to be doing well in inferno. Others are struggling. It's less than a week old. This is a good thing, means the end game shouldn't be TOO bland, so far it's looking like end game may be better than a lot of other games I've played so far.

Hello everyone,

Sorry about the issues logging into the game right now, our networking team is working to resolve the issue right now. I'm sorry but we don't have an ETA right now.

I'll let you know as soon as we have any further details.

Hello everyone,

I'm sorry but we don't have any further information yet, our networking team is working on it right now and are taking action to resolve the issue.

No ETA right now, but I'll let you know as soon as I get any more information on this.

Sorry everyone - no news yet, we're still working on a fix for this.

I still don't have an ETA either, I'm really sorry.

I'll update again here when I have more details.

+1.

I've not, not enjoyed a minute I've put into the game, and the server issues, while annoying.. are not the end of the world to me. I have other things to do and other games to occupy me when I don't. :p

Reddit just love a whine.
