Aside from Fletcher's Pride for 20k (Legendary Quiver), most of it has been pretty cheap 1-3k items, adorned with a Square Ruby in the weapon (and Helm for the %age bonus to experience, though I am tempted to use Gold Find) and Square Emeralds in all other pieces.

Easiest way to build up gold is to just play through on a new character. Unless you go mad with crafting you won't spend much and it kills 2 birds with 1 stone.

I was really down on my DH while playing end of act 1 and start of act 2 on nightmare but spent about 50k on the AH and wow the difference is amazing! Seems very gear dependent, a decent increase in dps through dex and some vit and life regen gear combined with shadow power means I've not had much issue even with tricky rare mobs.

I found act 1 nightmare with 2 others gave a ton of cash. If anyone wants to rerun it for cash and gear just hit me up - vtec9k#2693
 
Had a bit of luck on the AH earlier, within 30mins of browsing I managed to find 6 different parts of rare +Magic Find +Int +Vitality gear, the type of gear that is usually up for like 100,000 plus and all of them were under 25,000.

Some of it was lvl55 but theres also a couple of lvl59 items and one lvl60, when I reach lvl60 I should be at +130% Magic find. I'm already at +80% and can really see the difference!

Where are you guys farming for lvl 60 gear? Going to try to run some champ packs leading up to the butcher, but I don't think my gear is up to dark berserkers yet.

I am on act 4 normal now. act 3 boss was easy i did it first time, only used one health potion.

i have 30k gold and all my items are rare and at the max available level for my class level. I can find only a few better items and they are going for ridiculous sums on ah.

What level did you all finish normal on and how much gold did you have?

How do you get good weapons? I see weapons with triple the DPS of mine at my level (50 atm, seeing weaps with 350+) and mine only has 150, and nothing drops higher than that.

Do you craft them or what? Even rare weapon drops don't beat 150!
 
Really thinking about restarting my main as a monk. using a barb currently, but when EU servers were down yesterday I levelled up a monk on US servers and had a lot of fun with it. Decisions :|

Just got to get lucky with a drop / craft or buy one off the AH
 
Looking at peoples stats in this thread it seems I'm way behind people item wise :D.

My monk is level 50 now, just finished Act 3 Nightmare. I have 16k health, 1k DPS :(. I can still kill everything fine though (died twice during Act 3 iirc), so cba buying gear from the AH :p.
 
My girlfriend picked me the game up today (woohoo!).

Get home, sad face :(

No game disc, CD key or manual, WTF....

I have four pieces of card with guest passes, three for Diablo 3 and one for World of Warcraft and a small paper pad to write notes on.....

I've had a few decent drops with my barb, not using any MF gear :P

I'll seriously rage if they are sold out tomorrow, as they were down to the last or very last disc.

No copies in town here, this was 50km away, I wanted the DVD as its will take ages to download on my slowish adsl, plus easier to install on other machine etc etc
 
So can rushing be done similar to on Diablo 2? It seems a bit strange not being able to name your public game or whatever as "Rush me for forge" lol.

I'm starting act 4 on normal but doing it with a mate so i'm waiting for him to come online sometimes.

I wondered if i could try out a new class and rush him through normal or something.

If you go straight to the objctives without killing everything and exploring all corridors you can finish all four acts in one sitting pretty much. You'll not have as good gear though which might hurt your progress slightly in nightmare.
