yeah, i don't know why anyone would use a 2h x-bow as a DH (imo)

Because they're the best weapon for a DH after you reach level 50. Archery and Emeralds increase crossbow crit damage hugely, and Sharpshooter gives 100% crit at the start of every fight. Dual wielding 1-handers can match for damage because you get 15% IAS when you dual wield, but after factoring in the 11-12% IAS on a high-end quiver you need weapons that do an average 96% or better of the damage on a 2-H bow and those are nearly impossible to find.

Has Act 1 Inferno been nerfed? I got frustrated with Act 2 so went back to do some farming and im just steaming through everything at the mo. when I cleared it first time to progress I remember it being much harder.

The difficulty difference between Acts 1 and 2 in Inferno is absolutely massive. Very odd!

do you always get yellow drops from bosses?

Just played through to skeleton king again with my DH just to try and max it to 13 on the guest pass and had no yellow drop :(

I have yellow drops during games, i.e. in 3 hrs I can get ~10 yellow drops, thats in Normal and NM - 61%MF

Have salvaged many since starting

Dont salvage the low level gear, you can sell it to NPC.

The mats on the AH cost like 1/5th of the NPC prices at the moment.

What's folks strategies for crafting/salvaging?

At the moment I'm basically just selling everything for cash. is it better to salvage for materials or is it not really worth it?

Just had Jailer/Arcane Enchanted/Molten/Fast wasps in inferno act 2. Seriously, **** those as melee.

In reply to nydryl, at the minute its pretty much always more profitable to sell to merchant and buy mats off the AH.

Guys just a quick question about the books associated with the Diablo franchise, has anybody from Blizzard ever commented on whether they are considered canon or not? I ordered the Book of Cain over 2 weeks ago and it apparently got lost in the post so I'm getting it sent by Parcel Force this time so hopefully it'll be here tomorrow, I'm fairly certain after reading it I'll want to try the other books out so if anybody could let me know that'd be great.

Just started act 2, i know it's only normal mode but i found the butcher incredibly easy. His hook was quite simple to dodge but even if i did get caught he barely did any damage. I've only got 2 AH items (main weap and off hand) but the rest are pretty much all from levelling the blacksmith and using the items i can craft through him. Is it supposed to be like this? At present i can just run into anything knowing i won't die.

Don't own D3, bit afaik from watching/reading it's normal, as soon as you go to higher difficulties it becomes much more challenging.

That's normal for you.
