Help me spend the Goverments money!

Gelid Tranquillo - £25.99 at last check and it's very good performance on the Sandy Bridge chips. Not sure how they cope with Ivy Bridge as they run hotter.
 
Everyone I know who has a Tranquillo, and a lot of the OCuk people rate the tranquillo really highly, both for cooling and noise.
 
this is a gd mother board. msi is a good brand. if u want to xfire/sli would recomend geting a better one, but if u dont that will do fine :)
 
maybe in the winter, when i can see myself gaming more i might consider Xfire/SLI, whats the general opinion around here for a good bang for buck mobo
 
Is there really much difference between brands, cause a lot of them seem to have the same spec, or is it mainly down to preference?

PS also does it matter having AMD card and a Nvidia Mobo?

You can use AMD or Nvidia cards, single or sli/xfire on most mobos. But a few can be only sli or xfire compatable. It usually tells you this in the product information.
 
Is my Mobo compatible then? ive had a quick look but i cant see what im looking for, at the moment its all a mix of numbers and letters, but im learning slowly....i think
