gonna start act1 NM on my monk around 4ish.

Im level 27 and am not interested in quick runs through acts, have been loving taking my time clearing out areas hence my only completing normal on this toon last night :) anyone interested hook me up in game Sharpy#2557

Just killed SkellyKing on Inferno with my Barb. I only have about 8-9k DPS unbuffed but he went down easy enough. I have about 41k HP unbuffed too. Some elite mobs though I had to avoid after a few attempts because I just cant survive them. Some of the combinations on them are crazy! Still not had a decent drop of any kind though since being lvl60 so holding out for a nice row of them.

How do you get so much DPS?!

Offensive passives, 1300str and lots of crit dmg.
Don't need any defense on act 1 inferno and before that.
Also no defense will protect you from champions for too long so its better to zerg them in 5-10seconds rather than try to outlast them in tank spec.

Maybe if ure in group with monk for heal aura or dodge then yeah but solo you cant really tank champions for too long no matter what gear u have.

What are your resists?

has anyone heard anything about set items yet???

nvm, seems like half of the stats are broken on items anyway, items not registerting changes etc...at least thats whats being disccused on D3 forums :(

and at 5m+ a piece that's no fun

**** sake. Getting the second part of Zoltuns blood is so difficult on hell, wtf.

it really does make me laugh at all those kids who said D1/2 was harder than D3. it is slightly frustrating dying over and over, leaving and comming back to the start of the chapter :( but hang in there! lol

it just proves they never played them at all.

i like how you can't just farm one place over and over for xp/items like baal run 001-999 * reset (level 99 in one day in D2) and you have to at least do a bit of grinding D3 is short and the story seemed rushed, but its still a great game and i hope we see many expansions

I know the feeling... Inferno seems ******* impossible and I feel like I've wasted 60 hours getting my Barb to where he is now.

The sad part is. My mate has put the same time into the game as me and is now farming act 4, with 10mil in the bank.. no guesses as to what class he rolled ;)

Never know though, Blizz might actually address some of the issues, but until then I won't waste my time farming act 1 endlessly.

On Diablo 2 you could just create a room saying "Zoltuns Blood 1" and you'll have a load of random higher levels come in and teleport to the end of the quest and you're done in 2mins.

Obviously everyone used maphacks aswell, but yeah, as of right now D3 is a lot harder than D2.

Game uninstalled.

100 hours wasted on barb - really not in the mood to start all over again with a DH or Wizard.

Have fun all :)

wasted? why do somthing for more than an hour that you don't enjoy? (unless you have to, work for example)

hell/inferno was meant to be hard for everyone regardless of class :p

I had great fun going through normal, nightmare and hell, don't get me wrong. But realising how completely one-sided the combat is in the game it now feels like a waste. All I'm doing now is continuous corpse running in act 2 or either farming Act 1 inferno until my eyes bleed.

You also completely missed the point that I have put in roughly the same number of hours as a friend of mine (playing DH) who is now happily farming act 4, yet I struggle with act 2. That's hardly regardless of class, in fact it's the complete opposite.

i didn't miss the point at all, and i feel sorry that you think you wasted your time why not ask this "friend" if they can help you farm items/gold to get you to a standard you would be happy with???

I'm currently on hell act 1/2 still rolling lv 23-40 gear :) and finding it fun, but also frustrating in parts when there are packs of champions specially mortar (dev needs to be shot who came up with these) :p

i can see why you would be upset at unbalance, as it affects everything...but i don't think you have given every option a try to see if you can restore the fun you had at previous difficultys....

I just hope Blizz don't listen to all these kids that are crying about nerfing near enough every skill in the game, it's already borderline boring (in terms of skill selection, and everyone using similar builds) but i have a feeling we will al lbe stuck with sub 20kdps builds, with little to no armour/resistance or survivabilty if they do listen...

and this is madness http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=qzpRAUgyxaU (he has little to no defence so it's a gamble build and probably only good for bosses who don't move a lot)

Tbh, seeing that Blizzard said that Inferno would take a lot of farming time to beat (they said months didn't they?) I'm quite glad that you can't just drop in and steam roll it.

Inferno was always supposed to be an insane challenge that took the ****... Surprised that so many are throwing their toys out the pram. :p

I don't mind that its a challenge but the disparity in classes and that some appear to struggle while others don't is what needs to be addressed.
