i didn't miss the point at all, and i feel sorry that you think you wasted your time why not ask this "friend" if they can help you farm items/gold to get you to a standard you would be happy with???

I'm currently on hell act 1/2 still rolling lv 23-40 gear :) and finding it fun, but also frustrating in parts when there are packs of champions specially mortar (dev needs to be shot who came up with these) :p

i can see why you would be upset at unbalance, as it affects everything...but i don't think you have given every option a try to see if you can restore the fun you had at previous difficultys....

Anything other than solo on inferno is just a death wish. Tried it and failed.

In regards to my gear/gold. The gear/build I have now has me sitting at 600 all resists, 18k DPS and 40k health. The problem is, you need the level of gear that drops in the act after to complete the act before.

I've tried every other barbarian build out there, even a "ranged" build for a melee class.

I'll part now before I get even more irate.

Best of luck!

Tbh, seeing that Blizzard said that Inferno would take a lot of farming time to beat (they said months didn't they?) I'm quite glad that you can't just drop in and steam roll it.

Inferno was always supposed to be an insane challenge that took the ****... Surprised that so many are throwing their toys out the pram. :p

There are loads of players (DH/Wiz) who are farming act 4 inferno already so it obviously isn't as hard as Blizz claimed, again.. its the disparity between those two classes and the other three who are struggling. Does no one else get this point?

Yeah, i was looking forward to the difference as compared to D2, as i have said you can drop a new character and get them max level, and the best gear within a day.

D3 is meant to last some time, and i am enjoying it so far but there are some major issues that need to be addressed.

Most uniques and set items are broken, and normally have worse of stats of rares at lower level req's (not sure if that is intentionally but makes no sense to me)

and some other various things that are mainly my gripes with the current game, but that said i really love it and am glad to be back throwing my time at a game worthwhile imo.

I just wonder what they have up their sleeve for expansions :)

Anyone else stuck on Belial on inferno? The problem being I cant even get him into the second phase of the fight, his adds 1 shot me. (Playing as a Demon Hunter :p).

Pretty sure im doing something wrong im just not sure what.

I don't mind that its a challenge but the disparity in classes and that some appear to struggle while others don't is what needs to be addressed.

And they'll be nerfed. I still don't get why class jealousy is a reason to throw the toys out the pram. :p

Inferno is supposed to be super difficult and require months of farming. The early DH/Wiz players have got lucky, but it's them that will get the changes. Don't expect them to make the game easier to the other classes.

Even when they fix the disparity, you will still be in the same position in terms of difficulty. You'll still have to farm for months to play the game as intended.

I'll eat my hat if anything of real difference is changed, it's Blizzard after all. Regardless of change or not, my gear is at at the level of which I will find from drops in Act 2 YET I am getting absolutely destroyed still. Please do enlighten me on how I'm supposed to get the gear which allows me to complete act 2 other than from the AH which was supplied by the classes who have been able to already farm the higher acts.

Act 1 inferno does in NO WAY AT ALL provide you with the gear for act 2, thus, why bother other than for the ~100k gold an hour.

I love to farm, I really really do, I would not have bought the game otherwise. Farming however does NOT consist of corpse running over and over which is exactly what I'm doing now.

Can you really not see my point?

Yes, I was serious. I haven't played the game yet.

Thats fair enough :) Roll Demon Hunter when you do get around to buying it.

I know the feeling... Inferno seems ******* impossible and I feel like I've wasted 60 hours getting my Barb to where he is now.

Ehh? I had over 30hrs played when I finished inferno act 1 on barb. Act 1 is easy. Act 2 is totally different story. Took me ages and lots of deaths to get to blood and sand quest but im slowly moving forward -_-.

Im on Nightmare with a Barb, so theres no way im going to ever complete all levels then?

If thats the case i might stop now

You can max out to 60 fine, if you enjoy the barb then go for it. Getting to 60 took me 50 hours of play, way more gameplay than the average game. Then you've got better gear to get, other classes, hardcore mode etc.

RobSmith you just come across as bitter pal.

Yeah there's some balancing issues but they WILL be sorted out. 2 overpowered builds getting nerfed so soon after game release proves that.

The Belial fight on Hell is CRAZY! It felt well good when i killed him on my Barb, i actually had to use tactics of switching spells mid fight to make the last phase doable!

You can, just inferno act 2+ is not easy. It's not supposed to be easy anyways. It's totally new meaning of difficulty ;-). Don't think u can finish it easily with any other class, whatever you take ull die lots.

People that say other classes got it easy obviously never played one, my first char was a wizard and I gave up on it after getting to inferno, barb seems much easier.

The only high lvl wizards that got to act 3 and 4 are the ones who abused bugs and got help from others at release and played 16hrs a day.

If anyone think u can just go with 60hr playtime wiz into inferno and ull complete it without problems ull get surprised.

It's my favourite boss fight in the game, strange that he's much larger than the other brothers but it's a very epic phase shift. My girlfriend couldn't care less about diablo, but still had a "wow" moment when she saw that fight.

Yeah I'm a little sourer. I just expected a little more balance and logic from a game that has been in the making for such a long time, especially having come from playing D2.

Apologies if I came across rude to either of you, having a pretty naff day as it is.

My friend never played D2 or even a game in this genre and he's rofl-stomping his way through. Just saying.

;)

It's unfortunate that there is imbalance certainly, but given the sheer number of possible builds, I would say it's unreasonable to expect 100% of all the combinations to be tested on Inferno. The game is meant to be extremely hard on Inferno, Blizzard did say it would take months, not days to get the gear.

Millions of players are finding builds that work really well for some classes that might have been over looked by Blizzard testers, and these have been instantly posted online and shared. A big part of a game like this is balance and tweaking post release, and given how Blizz have supported all of their games prior to this, I would be shocked if support for D3 didn't continue for years and years in the same way.

Just bought a fairly cheapish helm of command for 700k with a socket in. Didn't have as much vital as I would have liked but it takes my chance to block up to almost 50% now. Just tried act 3 again and still struggling so still need to improve my gear some more. Really want a good stormshield with like 24% block but they go for like 5 million and a good Blackthorn medal but they go for around 2 million as well so back to farming :D
