Build advice to a budget.

You can save money by just using the reference cooler with the CPU which will do you fine - unless you intend to overclock? Also I would go with this Corsair case for similar money, much better build and has USB 3.0 ports. :)

That case looks nice I'm a bit torn really, as the zalman has more fans, how easy is it to add more, and can you link me to a compatible one.

I have looked at the reviews for the corsair psu, a lot of people have talked about slightly shorter cables, I hope this won't be a problem with either of these cases?
 
You don't need loads of fans for good airflow and decent temps. The Corsair 300R comes standard with 1x 140mm intake and 1x 120mm exhaust fan.

The only cable I seem to have a problem with on PSUs is the 6/8-pin CPU connector it has to stretch over the graphics card unless you buy an extension cable and run it around the back nicely.. :) Something like this:

The Z9 plus has that extension cable included and the OP doesn't get free P&P :(

It's tit4tat really, you can add a card reader with USB3 to the front of the Z9 for £10ish. If the OP prefers the Corsair case that's fair enough. I use the Z9 myself and i know it cools well and does a lot for the price, it's why i recommend it.

The OP did ask for the ability to dual card the GPU. The mATX mobo you are spec'ing doesn't do Xfire properly and even if it did the cards would be very cramped together (HOT), not to mention being a smaller board he loses PCI slots (upgrade potential).

Why do you think the D3H won't perform with Crossfire very well?

I do think these things through buddy lol

Ceuotc made the same mistake. Also the SSD he is spec'ing, is half the speed of the M4 I spec'd. We also like to recommend low profile RAM not aggressive heatsinks which just get in the way :)

Hey Hono :)

Spec in post #18 looks pretty good to be fair - and Hono has explained most other options quite well :) If you want modular I'd suggest this as it actually has more on the 12V rail than the 600W Coolermaster:

For the record I moved away just over a year ago, I found another home so I'm not a hobo ;)
 
Right, i had a few bevies last night and have been a bit worse for wear today :P Finally got round to some finalizing.

To recap, im most likely going to xfire the 7850s eventually, i have a hard drive and Dvd rw which i can take out of my current rig.

Im just checking that its all good to go, enough juice in the psu and theres nothing more i need in terms of cables extensions etc. Any other comments would be also appreciated. Is there any deals on that i have missed.

You may also be getting a few posts on here when it comes to building it, because it will be my first time. :P although to be honest i think that may only be connecting everything in the final stages.

Anyway i'm pretty close to ordering, i have used that little bookmark tool and this is what i have got.
