Really? You can tell you're not a parent. You move hell or high water to make sure you're there for your kids.

I'd be at a pre-op consultancy for my lad be damned what work says.

well amazing the power that a written request can have.


wife handed in request in writing this morning accompanied by an explanation that she will be looking for time off for said operation 4-8 weeks after the consult. half an hour later dragged into office and told it was all a misunderstanding and that he was a bit stressed yesterday.

time off granted and apology given. maybe he realised what a end he was being or maybe it was his man time of the month who knows, all sorted now though :)

+1 half of the job in the legal sector is writing letters telling people what to do.

Congrats on winning this little battle OP. normally employers are more compassionate when it comes to children
