All im saying is, my system is as secure as any other user could make it. My password wasn't easy to guess i dont open stupid phiscing emails or visit dodgy websites ever. I didn't lose much gold as iv barely played it this week but it deffo wasn't a fault of mine. Also i never joined any public games i only played with friends irl.
 
think im stuck , on act 2 of inferno with little gold and cant kill any rare packs in either act and only got to act 2 with a friend who helped

Weapon DPS doesn't take into account dexterity so shouldn't my characters DPS with the Crossbow equipped by considerably higher? I mean its not like we're talking about 10 or 20 dex, we're talking 132 difference.

I presume your playing as DH :p From what I have found is 2h bow with quiver is by far the best setup you can use at the moment.

With the Archery passive skill you gain 15% extra dmg done. Compare that with a xbow which only gives crit hit dmg or hand xbow crit hit chance. I've used a mix of xbows and hand xbows. But I have to say I really do prefer 2h bow. It feels like consistently higher dmg.

Unless you are stacking lots of crit hit chance and crit dmg. I really think you would fair better off with a good 2h bow and quiver.

Other than working in the IT industry I'm exactly the same as you. I'm pretty confident its a Blizzard issue but I doubt we'll hear anything until its working time tomorrow in the US.. if we hear at all.

I've put an authenticator on my account now using the mobile free app just to be sure.

There was a post I read where several people claimed to be using an authenticator but when a blizzard rep/gm checked they were lying heh.

I really cant think what I would have downloaded that was a keylogger or that would have caused this issue and as it was only my Battlenet account and specifically my Diablo 3 chars that got owned (all gear sold/gold stolen) I'm inclined to think it was to do with the beta launcher I downloaded, when everyone was trying to get access and it allowed all people into the beta, then they closed it down. I'm wondering if the source/file was the problem as originally I dont think there was a blizzard source.

Oddly enough, as far as I know from my circle of friends online.. I'm the only one to be affected so far.

Nope, that's a bit missleading it's a passive that DH's get that increase your CC by 3% every second untill you crit, but it's well worth it i would say over 80% of my hits are criticals.

my main problem is that all my other gear is utter rubish and i go down in about 3-4 hits (around 20-25k hp) but i'm being rather picky with my gear as i don't play the AH or farm that much so i'm not gunna be able to play around with my coins much

to dmcg: act 3 is where it heats up, ive got 45k dps, with 300 res all (demon hunter)and i dont stand a chance against the elites at all, completely impossible some of them. the game is broken in inferno.
